I'm personally annoyed. Leaving him to die in the stars seems really... it doesn't play into the whole 'you're never alone' aspect that the story has been hammering in every two seconds and the 'you cant forgive him' aspect doesn't work because Emet exists and he redeemed himself. Also everyone loves Meteion after she did so. Idk, I'm just personally pressed (read that last part again. And again. Personally pressed, this isnt an attack on the writers).

Tbf there was no redeeming him. The devs had classified him as the utimate evil. Hes a vile person. I think the place he died suits him. He isolated people,he deserves to be isolated and to die alone.Emet and Zenos are two completely different people. Emet murdered people to rejoin the world and bring back his loved ones and his race of people. Zenos did it because....hes selfish and wanted to "feel." Although im with you on people loving Meteion and Hermes. I find it a bit ironic that people love hermes or meteion but those same people hate zenos or emet.

glad hes not coming back. not because i hate him but because he went out the way he wanted. in a death match with the only person he could connect to. plus meteion had her personality surpressed by the meteia hivemind and the hivemind is dead.

Good. That arc never should have dragged on so long in the first place.

Going into Endwalker the writers were clearly at a loss about how to handle the character. It feels like he long since outlived his role in the story but no one figured out a good write him out, so he hung around til the finale and the writers were like "Oh ****, this guy's still here. We'd better do something about it.

He had a satisfying end, and I wasn't expecting him to come back.

Or at least, I wasn't expecting his soul to come back since he explicitly stated that he wanted to die, and there's ample precedent for his body being used as a tool by his avatar to some ends...

There was no satisfying direction they could've taken him after Endwalker, honestly, so this doesn't surprise me.

His Storyline should've never extended SB, Body swapping ... cloning ... idk man. He was a cool villain like OG Gaius that had his own motives while still acting for the empire.

I actually screamed during a certain CS near the end of EW because i thought they tried to redeem the character. Also said Character rethinking his ways because Alisaie told him to? no ... He walked up to the alliance of Eorzeans and was like "yo i smelled the wol needs help, can i have some of that dope crystal stuff so i can fly across the universe" and their like "sup bro come in"

In other news: sky blue, grass green. I'm surprised they needed to say he was dead so often that it ended up in a magazine interview.
