    [Request] Glamour Storage for ALL Artifact Armor Sets

    So we have two places to store our Glams, Armoire & Glamour Dresser. The former sees almost no use. It can store your Standard AF1 Armor Sets, standard only, if you are like me and you 'collect' AF armor sets, you won't be able to store your dyeable versions in the Armoire.

    To break this down into numbers, we have...

    * 10x AF1 sets
    * 13x AF2 sets
    * 15x AF3 sets
    * 17x AF4 sets
    * 19x AF5 sets

    These are 5 pieces each. Our Glamour Dresser only holds 400 items. If you are like me and you like to collect AF sets, you've already allotted 370/400 in the glamour dresser just to store AF equipment.

    My request... Allow the Armoire to store ALL artifact armor sets, including the dyeable versions. Alternatively, allow us to access equipment stored on retainers for Glamour Plates and remove the prism costs from dying.

    The reason why only the original AF1 set can be stored in the Armorie and no other is simply because the original set is quested (and thus the only way it could be acquired), where as all other sets can be gained through accumulating specific currency and/or redeeming it through the relevant vendor, so SE's way of thinking for the later sets is, "you are meant to throw it away or trade them in at your GC HQ for GC currency if you have no space and are not using them, and simply repurchase the gear again with the revelant currency if you want it again".

    Yes I know you can get back the original AF1 set now via the Calamity Salvager, but that was only added much later where as the Armorie and AF1 have been around since 1.0 days and thus SE needed to have this fail safe in place. It sucks, but I do not see them changing this.

    I don't think the reason for why it is the way it is changes anything to be honest. They keep having to bandaid the glamour system every few MCP's because there either isnt enough room for storage, or other things need to be added to the Armoire, and as such the current version is neither player-friendly or futureproof. It's just a buck that keeps getting passed year after year and it needs to change.

    This isn't a "I don't see it happening" kind of request, this is a "you know its going to have to happen, so here's a gentle reminder that you should probably get to it sooner rather than later".

    So this was mentioned in our NN some weeks back and a response there was also to just junk the gear, since it can be obtained from again from an NPC. But be that as it may can the AF gear with dye unlocked also be repurchased as well, or is it just the basic non-dye versions?

    It depends on the gear.

    Augmented ARR gear cannot be directly repurchased; you have to buy the base gear and buy/craft augmentation pieces again.

    Heavensward gear comes already-upgraded now.

    Stormblood dyeability is still tied to the grind that is Eureka, and you can't repurchase the Anemos pieces, only the base versions.

    Shadowbringers dyeable gear comes from the now-unsynch-able Memoria EX trial and can be gotten there again.

    Endwalker gear is the dyeable form to begin with.

    Essentially the AF gear is the exception. The "normal" here would be to not have any AF gear in the armoire.

    I don't see why this can't be fixed in the future. Especially for anything you can get base gear for but would have to grind again to make dye-able after having already done this once.

    This seems like one of those features to me that they probably have on their long list of QoL updates to get to, haven't spoken on it in any recent LLs, but will spring on us randomly. There were quite a few things they never talked about in the 6.1 LLs or prelim patch notes that were in the final patch notes.

    They also did this with Male Viera. Said nothing to us about getting it, kept saying "No, no, no" to new races and we ended up with them as a surprise for 6.0. No one even thought it was coming. So I hold out some hope this will be one of those things.

    I got all this class gear once, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get it again. Or even have to go find the NPC I can get it from since it's usually not free. I might feel different if you could just walk up and be handed the gear free once you've acquired it once. If re-imagining the Armoire is too big a task for the present, I don't see how even with spaghetti code they couldn't rework salvagers to hand over already previously acquired class gear for free.
