So what to do at 90 without msq?

i'm level 90 on a healer and literally it feels like nothing opened up or happened whatsoever

doing questing on a healer is beyond tedious so I'm not doing 40 hours of msq and I'm not doing another class

is this game over for me now? or is there something I can do at 90 that doesn't require a massive tedium/boredom gate of 40 hours?

yes there are mmo's that let you do stuff at max level without tedious questing via a healer class

and yes i skipped all of the other questing, bought the skips - this games' questing isn't remotely as fun as a regular ff game and I don't have enough free time to waste it on mediocre content or tedium

it's no big deal if there is nothing to do, will just stop my sub - no shortage of other games to play

Depends on what you're intrested in?

The main endgame (besides glamour, obviously) would be the Savage raids (and come 6.11 the next Ultimate raid) - a step below Savage would be the EX-primal fights. Both are a type of (more or less) challenging encounters that drop gear and mounts.

The other source of gear would be stuff you buy with tomestones - a currency that has a weekly cap and that you get from various activties at level 90. Mainsource for many people are the level 90 dungeons, specially the expert roulette.

Somewhere down the line we'll most likely get another relic-wepaon-questline of sorts - but that might proof to tedious for you, seeing how those are usually just a grind...

There is obviously stuff one can do - but honestly not much is new at level 90. If you didnt enjoy hunts before that, you probably wont enjoy them now. If you dont like treasure maps, not much has changed. Right now there is little content that requires you to be level 90 - basically boils down to the three dungeons, the two Ex-trials and the 4 raids (both NM and Savage).
If you're deadset on not leveling another job (which you wouldnt do by questing but by running dungeons/roulettes or other means - and which might be less tedious than a healer... healers arent in the best place atm) and are only interested in doing current maxlevel stuff, there might not be to much to do.

...I did check out your lodestone profile and noticed that for example you havent done that much in terms of collecting mounts that you can get ingame - all ex-primals mounts are "missing" for example. At level 90 you could go back and see how many of the old fights you can solo unsyched if thats your thing.

    appreciate the feedback

yeah I'm looking for instanced matchmade group stuff and my duty finder didn't have a single new thing after I hit 90

there really isn't much I wanna do solo on a healer, entire point of the class is to support a team to conquer stuff

are you saying I will have new raids unlocked by hitting 90 in the duty finder? or do they all need the 40 hours of endwalker msq?

I tried to switch the duty finder to the 'hard' version but it won't switch

The currently available Savage raid, the Extreme trials (and the upcoming 6.1 one), as well as any Expert dungeons are all tied to MSQ progression. While the upcoming Ultimate raid isn't directly tied to the Endwalker MSQ, unlocking it will likely require completing the current Savage raid.

So yes, you'll have to do the MSQ to unlock pretty much anything at Lvl 90.

Wait... you have reached level 90 without doing the Endwalker MSQ?

In any case: Everything in this game is locked behind the MSQ. Once you finish Endwalker you'll have unlocked the first level 90 dungeon as part of the MSQ. After the credits you can unlock two more level 90 dungeons, as well as the Ex-trials and raids I mentioned. Any new, upcoming content like the Ultimate raid, the alliance raid, future EX-primals and raids, dungeons... all of that will be locked behind finishing the MSQ.

If the story isnt your cup of tea, this game might really not be the right fit for you.
...just a sidenote: During the progress of the MSQ you'll also unlock 5 leveling dungeons and 2 trials. I've noticed that your character isnt wearing any of the new dungeon gear, so I'm assuming you didnt do any of those either...?

Maxlevel content in this game doesnt appear in your duty finder once you hit maxlevel - it appears there after you've completed the quests that unlock said content. Most of those quests are fairly short, but they do have requirements like completing the MSQ first...

All endgame fights require clearing the MSQ up to the credits, and possibly further questing after that.

If you paid to skip to the start of Endwalker, you can unlock raids from past expansions but they'll require you to clear sidequests too.

You can work on rushing through MSQ while you queue for other things, but that's really your only option here if you ever want to engage in current standard endgame duties. This isn't a game you can easily play if you don't want to do the quests.

Level 90 without doing MSQ… O___O i dont think you can progress new story chapter in 6.1 and new contents without finishing the entire endwalker expansion from the beginning to end. How else you gonna unlock Endwalker contents and 6.1+ o.o ?

Little additional question: If you didnt do the Endwalker MSQ how did you even reach level 90? What did you do to level?
I'm asking because I'm wondering if it felt so tedious to you because you were using extremly inefficient ways to level up...

Just running daily leveling/MSQ/alliance/trial/50-60-70-80 roulettes should easily get someone to lvl 90. Sprinkle in some Pixie dailies (still decent past 80), and Wondrous Tails for some extra exp to speed things up.

    This isn't WoW.

Considering you have a forum join date of Aug 2013, you should know that endgame content is gated by MSQ progression. Nothing about endgame design has changed significantly in the last 8 years beyond the addition of some new forms of side content that are still gated by MSQ progression.

It was your choice to use a healer to level and your choice to refuse to level any other job.

Stopping your sub is probably the right choice for you- this clearly is not a game that will appeal to you.
