    High latency on NA Datacenter to the point of unplayable since last content update

    I have played with no lag at all since ARR but now since the events started, my lag into any server on NA datacenter has gotten to the point of freezing in the middle of dungeons, random freezes in the world and even when not completely frozen, the game is unreliable at best. I haven't changed anything on my side nor has my isp (contacted them when this started even though the only thing that lags is FFXIV.) I've restored game files, made sure everything is properly updated, and done a full router reboot but nothing has resolved this issue. To the tech who might read this: is this a known issue that is being worked on or is there anything that can be done? I even tried a vpn to get around a bad node I was seeing in the traceroute but even that is failing.

    if even vpn can't help you the only thing I'd say is you have to move sorry.

    Which VPN are you using, then can possibly give you stable route. Previously had to avoid LA routes and CA routes but both appear stable for this moment.

    I have also never written anything on these forums until now. The amount of lag spikes is unbelievable and just started up a few days ago and hasn't let up. I'm having trouble running my FC events, dungeoning, and Savage is now an absolute nightmare. I thought it may only be an issue in the evening and at night, but I tried to get my Savage runs done in the morning and it's still completely unplayable. Please help us out. I can't run an FC and my events with this nightmare.

    Issue just started occurring yesterday and has not let up. Our internet is 300+ mb/s. Have been playing FFXIV for years with no issues until yesterday. Tried restarting router, computer, switching back/forth data centers, tried using a VPN and tried all of the other fixes online which do not work. Internet is fine and 0 lag on any other programs/devices, only with FFXIV. Something is up with FFXIV specifically. Both computers we have are far above minimum system requirements.

    I'm adding to this. I'm also in Southern California on COX and have had horrid lag for the last week+ and have tried everything to fix it including calling our ISP. Nothing has worked.

    This is my first time ever having to post from how bad its gotten but he issue has started since the day of the DDos attack on Friday the 25th of march even after the post SE posted on the 26/7th stating the issue has been resolved. I've done everything possible on my end starting with restarting my internet to calling my service provider (I'm getting 340mbps up time so it's not my internet), I've done a full reinstall of ff14 as well as done every possible fix everyone recommends. I have not had this big of a issue even even when I first began to play even when Endwalker released I never had this bad of a issue. I've constantly monitored ff14 and noticed multiple times even after a fresh reinstall that its having a massive packet/memory loss server side from your I.P, as I saw someone else do the same test and posted both results with a vpn and without. I'm not having any issues on any other game even including elden ring, halo infinite, apex and countless others even on a slightly older pc.
