I know that but as a pug how are you holding hate on all of them if you are not in melee range?

Cross class abilities. Accomplice on ranged DD, Warmonger, and with the Intimidation trait. Ferocity II, Raging Strike II, Hawk's Eye, Profundity II, and Blood Rite II all do a ton of threat as well.
