Share Anything About Your WoL

I'm not sure if there's already a thread like this, but I thought it would be cool to have a place where people can share information about their Warriors of Light. I know some people come up with backstories and personalities for their characters, and I like hearing about them. You can share anything from small details to longer descriptions. I also might end up sharing some stuff about by own character later on.

Not really addressing the topic directly, but I do think it would be kind of nice if they allowed us to attach a character bio to the "calling card" function they were planning to implement in 6.1.

The closest thing we have presently is our search info comment...but that doesn't exactly allow for much detail.

My main certainly isn't anything close to a warrior of light. He's a bandit (with a few particular moral scruples) that tends to operate mainly between Thanalan and La Noscea, extremely rarely in Coerthas and The Black Shroud, he tends to cycle between areas when he draws too much heat in one region. When he isn't trying to rob trade caravans or pull off heists along the rails in Thanalan, he typically squirrels away in one of the hideout shacks he has scattered around and spends his time studying anything he can get his hands on pertaining to Voidsent and the occult. He seeks outs and tries to hunt down the former just as a hobby.

Typical westerns, properties such as Darkwatch, and characters such as Van Hellsing were a big inspiration for the concept.

In my own canon-head Vencio isn’t a WoL nor part of the Scions,

He’s a neutral-morally good character that’s been exiled by Ishgard due to being branded as a “heretic/ disloyal” when in truth he questions the holy see & never is in accord to have religious influences to obtain such political power & corruption,

Though he’s a free paladin, to a degree he can empathize & understand why dark knights abstain themselves from any allegiances & dislike dogma, yet he’ll never resort to their unorthodox methods,

He finds sanctuary & peace in Gridania & lives elsewhere in the deep woods yet is never in accordance with the belief of the spirits/ elementals though holds a degree respect for them.

Currently present he’s on a random expedition with certain minor Scion members to quell ongoing conflicts throughout Eorzea & exploration.

PS: Canonically he’s not a “Paladin” to be labelled as but rather a swordsman whom adopted the Paladin’s fighting style from Ishgard (before being exiled) & applies various other methods as well like basic archery, survival hand to hand & to some degree cast holy magic.

Basically hot porple dranei dragon man who came here from the underworld b/c i got bored of the whole climbing the power hierarchy.

As hrothgar:
I traveled with a clan of hrothmens when that liar hydalaen threw female viera at me and said I was the one and parted ways with my hrothsmen. Now I spend the day being patted by random people.
He's stoic, but inside he secretly likes the pats.

Lalo:
I am the best lalo. The cutest. You will bow to me. He wants to be edgy like au ra, but it just ends up being cute.
His figure is attributed to his mother's homemade cooking.

Interesting tidbit I added to my character's lore was I put a scar on her cheek after the events of EW. I won't say how she got it to avoid spoilers, but she got it at some point during 6.0 MSQ, and was injured quite badly. Even though it is not a fantasia change, it is permanent. I could take the scar away, but it would just be concealed.

CC doesn't allow for a whole lot to kind of reflect the wear and tear our Warrior's of Light have undoubtedly gone through over the course of all those tooth 'n nails fights to the death. At least not for Midlander females, and I really wanted to express that my character is not invincible, and indeed mortal.

My character's hair used to be white, but after a certain event in Endwalker it turned grey.

I like to see my character as cheeky, spirited, the life of the party and very adventurous. Also quite the drinker. She's been this way since ARR; before, I saw her as more reclusive and unsure. I imagine the strong friendship she formed with the Scions was a big factor in helping her out of her shell. She was much more cautious and protective over them in Heavensward and Stormblood after witnessing deaths, but come Shadowbringers she gained confidence.

This is a pretty random detail but I decided that one of Eri's main hobbies is Triple Triad. I really like Triple Triad to the point that I've collected most of the cards so I'm projecting that onto her. She was probably ecstatic during Shadowbringers when she discovered that Triple Triad exists on the First.
