Stuns don't matter if you're getting erased from existence by stacked AoE LBs before you can even hit Guard.

The old ranged/caster LBs were made manageable by the fact that their range/radius was small enough that weren't likely to be hitting multiple people unless they were crowding around/into a capture/choke point or some such. They also had a cast time so you could reasonably move out of them before they go off. The new instant cast LBs turn a lot of jobs into a walking death radius, though it seems the design intent was to avoid games of chicken and/or attrition where nobody is dying for prolonged periods of time which speeds games up overall.

I'm just assuming the WHM LB charges really slowly so it's not going to be oppressive as it sounds on paper.
