I don't even feel that I should have to tip waiters to do there jobs. So why would I tip a player to do there job?

PSA if anyone was confused by this or whatever:
1) You can not trade in dungeons/instances, so it is impossible to tip inside anyway with random people.
2) It is against ToS to offer services for gil in the Party Finder (aka "Mercenary Work")
3) It is NOT against ToS to "hire" someone to join your party. Obviously you'd be offering to pay and should tip in this situation.
4) This is most likely a joke thread anyway; I've never even heard of this as a thing.

Wait...you are not allowed to offer service for gil in party finder? I thought that was okay as long as it is not a real money transaction. People advertise to pay for clears and sell other things in game for gil transactions. I swore it was allowed as long as it is not real money.PSA if anyone was confused by this or whatever:

I found it oh my gosh I forgot about that in the wall of text that is the tos. You can not advertise to get paid to give someone a clear but THEY can advertise to give you money for clear. My mind is officially blown at how weird this is. How....what they are literally both the same thing and this is common in many mmos. Unless scamming is an issue but if that is the case I swore there was something in the tos about altering the deal when making a contract with a player to give them gil for service. You can get action taken if you do not pay up or do not fufill the contract. That I did remember.

It was allowed until very recently. In October of last years they changed the rules. You can offer to pay for help but you cannot offer a service or clear for any sort of reward.Wait...you are not allowed to offer service for gil in party finder? Yup; used to be ok and from YoshiP's interviews he is (was?) more or less fine with it personally..the problem is too many bad apples putting up ads and then using it for real money trade...so the call was to ban all "Mercenary Work" services entirely. It is 100% ok to offer to pay for services though.Wait...you are not allowed to offer service for gil in party finder? I thought that was okay as long as it is not a real money transaction. Oh my gosh that does make a ton of since, there were so many spam bots with their obvious texts of 'GeT FRee CLear ToTaLLy LeGiT ReAL PeRsOn' with those stars and everything being typed like that or with the special characters you can use with stars and hearts and things. This is why we can not have nice things T_T I wonder if you could advertise something like willing to help and sort it out later. My friend was really thinking of doing stuffs for gil while role playing as a free lance Mercenary.Yup; used to be ok and from YoshiP's interviews he is (was?) more or less fine with it personally..the problem is too many bad apples putting up ads and then using it for real money trade...so the call was to ban all "Mercenary Work" services entirely. From a role play standpoint, and just a way to make monies in game it was cool thing if you didn't want to just craft, but that is sad things have gotten this way. It kind of reminds me of when I worked at a local fast food place where they told me I couldn't ask for tips or except them but if they ended up in my hand due to the adorable old people around the neighborhood I was allowed to take them those were the owners words too >.<It was allowed until very recently.
