    Unable to log in since ps5 update

    When I try to log in after updating the ps5 it just says "To play FINAL FANTASY XIV, you must first sign in to Playstation Network"

    Is there a quick fix for this or is this a sony issue?

    Tested this with two different accounts on two ps5s. The update and XIV launcher are not playing nice together.

    Its the PSN

    I just spent about 30 minutes troubleshooting this for my other half, its the PSN I'm afraid.

    The PS4 version of the game is connecting successfully, but not PS5.

    If you need to play before the fix, I reccomend using the PS4 version post-update for the moment.

    Oh okay. I didn't notice that sony status page changed. I also forgot we can swap to the ps4 version on the ps5. Thanks for the update, and tip

    Great idea, but I can’t find the option to download the PS4 version, as a side not Sony are aware of issues and working on it

    I was having the same issue. What fixed it for me was changing my PSN password. It forced me to have to sign out, and than sign back in, and I was able to sign into FFXIV.

    It was a sony problem after the patch. It was on their status page, and it has been resolved. It was effecting every online multiplayer game I tried.

    Works for me but I don't have PS plus. It might make a diff with ps plus authentication methods with sony servers.
