You're allowed to have your own opinion, of course, but a main issue behind why the OCE DC is so empty is due to the lack of housing available. No one who owns a house on a main elsewhere is gonna realistically dump that house to start over on another DC thar has none to replace it. If they do, fair enough, but I personally wouldn't. Would not be shocked in the slightest if we see a wave of people moving over there once it is available. Even JP filled up eventually from having housing just sitting freely available for purchase for weeks.

Housing was by far, BY FAR, the biggest factor people were considering before moving to OCE and it's why a lot of people just made alts to check it out. No one wants to give up their housing, especially not after the hours, stress and brain drain spent trying to acquire one. Personal housing dictates so much of player decisions, sometimes I don't know if SE really understands the extent of it.

Right now our sister FC is on Bismarck which is miserable and in a word, dead. It's so dead no one can even sell anything on the MB. The obvious solution is move to Ravana but everyone is still debating on it because of the housing issue.

I agree completely. Holding housing for 90 days was the dumbest move SE could make. All it's allowing now, is for the housing sellers to level up their shell FCs.

It's also why my original main is still on Aether and my garden is full of flax. Inside the house full of Onions. No way I am giving up that house.

Same thing would happen if they were to open SA servers, even worse. Yet that does not stop people asking for them :-)

Meh. Server is still fresh. Won't really be a valid assessment of whether it was a "mistake" or not until nearer to 7.0. New EU servers went through the same issues, and likewise took months for populations to really settle in.
