so when the donation is cleared, you actually get money from selling to that place. Sweet.I mean, it wouldn't actually alter the shop prices for all the other NPCs, but the Doman Restoration is permanently paying you double the price that any other NPC will pay you for your junk materia and Allagan coins, or whatever you want to sell. But the weekly payout limit of 40,000 gil means you can get, at most, 20,000 gil per week from it (minus teleport fees).
Take away that cap, and people can instantly dump all of their stashed coins in one go and get a massive amount of bonus gil in one shot.
I have a big pile of leftover demimateria from desynthesis levelling and I can only hand in a few each week for a small payout. Some weeks I forget entirely. I may never get through everything I intend to donate at this trickled pace.
If I can sell it all at once, that would be instantly a few million bonus gil that I otherwise have to wait a long time to earn, and remember to make multiple trips.
Magnified to an everyone scale, it would probably add up to a lot more gil instantly going into the game.
then again, the time gating they were talking about is probably about reaching the end of the donation phase anyway.
Gating the bonus part should be fine.
