future direction? In the toilet.
wow things are looking badYeah, the devs are only just not listening to healer concerns, kicking the one healer tester for the game off the testing team because he was "too good at his job", taking 6 years to begin addressing housing concerns, taking a couple years to add 6 hairstyles for an existing game race that gets rid of one of the two races unique features(ears) and looking like a horrible wig job. I dont need to weaponize wow, 14 is doing it to itself lol.
Now i’ve seen some attempts of gatekeeping around here but i think this absolutely takes the cake. Oh my, people actually giving criticisms for the beloved game. How tragic. The devs themselves have stated they value criticisms for the game more than praise. Also, this isn’t just “one crummy patch.” These problems have been around for 6+ years and nothing has been done about it. Stop trying to hide behind that facade of it’s just happening for one patch or just this once. No, it’s not.
Although i have to say i do find it funny youre trying to accuse me of snark back and forths when there are people that have issued death threats and have accused certain posters of being nazis or genocide sympathizers. A few threads isnt gonna kill you, if you disagree with someones opinion you can simply move on. No need to be rude and try to gatekeep or insult someone.Im simply calling things out as i see it. Hrothgar players have had to wait years for these hairstyles, and theyre only getting 6, all of which completely remove their ears and look like horrible ugly wigs. Years for that...yeah. Healer mains have waited 6+ years for some major changes, and instead theyre being told by the lead dev to go play ultimate if they want engaging content, because they cant be bothered to try and actually address healers.

As someone who has consistently been posting on the official forum since the game's relaunch, I'd attribute the main reasons for the lack of 'insightful' posts to the following factors:
- The English speaking community representatives are nowhere to be seen. They lack an active presence and seem far more interested in engaging and pandering to FFXIV players on Twitter. A place which, ironically, is far more hostile and unhinged than the official forums.
- Early on, the official forum gained a reputation for being overly strict and prone to banning people for harmless jokes and arguably questionable reasons. A lot of players decided to avoid it on that basis alone.
- Even the slightest bit of criticism regarding the game is seen as a personal attack by some players who devote a considerable amount of their time to attempting to police the tone and opinions of their brethren.
- A not insignificant amount of players seem unable to make use of the ignore function. A useful tool which allows them to silence posters who they do not wish to read posts from.
Just give me back my 6 DoT scholar. It's been like 4.5 years and it's all I want.
ONE DPS focused Healer!
ill be honest, if they stoped changing the jobs after stormblood it would be perfect but after stormblood ended the jobs "lets be honest: became boring and overall trashy
"
story got better ill give that credit but jobs became worse and worse
they should stoped changing jobs at stormblood (outside summoner) and then just build on what they have by ONLY adding abilitys and passives not taken any way but adding let us worry about buttons half the bars more so on controller goes unusued or emote only on most jobs
and i hate what they did to dark knights salted earth .. i like to throw it out as i pull to let everyone know where im stoping the pull so they can place their ground effects its total bs it just auto places below we can make an easy simple macro for that lol

Live letter said all I needed to know about to future direction. More class simplification, bad pvp is back, same content as usual.
