Future direction of FFXIV

No that is not called consuming content way too fast. It is simply a product/result of being a player for a long period of time. Unfortunately for some people, a lack of content is an inevitability for some folk, especially when you play regularly for several years. (Not that I agree with the lack of content - I think the greater issue is just that many pieces of content have gone the route of 1-off experiences as opposed to something that players can engross themselves in whilst still obtaining a reward). Overcoming this though isn't really just child's play without potentially introducing unfriendly mechanics, systems, or elements into the game that potentially make it an difficult for newer players or players with less time on their hands.

Really? Then do they just not grow the class design team or what? Because it seems to be the same 4 people every expansion.It’s crazy to see how much money this makes compared to other mmo’s yet other mmo’s have double the class design team than 14 does

Not sure but Yoshi has said they had about 150 during ARR, and close to 600 going into SHB.

I also feel job design has been rather boring this expansion with many classes almost feeling exactly the same as in ShB, just with a new button and 2 traits. I don't get how anyone can play the same class for 2 years, then feel hyped to play the exact same thing for another 2 years.

Reworks are very 50/50, they've sometimes made jobs that I like even better, and sometimes made jobs I like so much worse. I'm fine with just getting a few new abilities and traits, I don't fancy rolling the dice on the jobs I enjoy.

Right, instead of a stat squish or level crunch we the job abilities to merge more. Well some classes are great on a gamepad others are not and can be overwhelming.

If they ever did a One Tamerial or made all enemies level to your level I'd be gone and never come back and you'd see this game lose subs. But he they got rid of the unpopular but popular with the hardcore players the Cross Class System so hopefully they keep doing things the majority want.

Ive been lurking and interacting with the forum here for a good time. I know I havent been here a good majority of this game's history; or at least havent been in the forums long enough to gauge general feeback and topic trends but from the majority of people here I'm curious about something.

Do you guys feel like the current dev team is incapable to lead this game 6.1 and beyond because of the good amount of complaints between gameplay, story, and general content releases. Should we shuffle devs around or replace Yoshi-P? Are people overall happy with the state of this game?

You are trolling right ?? If you had seen the state that this game was in before Yoshi-P came along then you would not request for different people to run this game. Last thing FFXIV needs is another fiasco where the game goes to S**t. Sorry. but if I had my way in the universe, Yoshi-P would never leave, die, or want to go anywhere. He would be paid well for this to keep being the best or moving in that direction of being the best.

Just because some has an opinion or thoughts that you disagree with doesn’t make them a troll and i really wish this community would stop automatically assuming someone is a troll based on their opinion.

What most people fail to realize is that replacing the development team won't necessarily resolve many of the issues that the community have underpinning the game, especially when many of the issues would be narrowed down to budgeting and allocation, which would be an executive decision, not a developer decision.

I kinda get what you're saying. I am honestly starting to get sick of the excuses for delays and the baffling class design decisions but you get rid of Yoshi-P firstly I think is a bit much but they'll replace him with a guy that will try to throw NFTs into the game and absolutely destroy it I assure you.

Yoshi P isn't the final say on NFTs in FFXIV. If SE wants NFTs in FFXIV SE gets NFTs in FFXIV.
