Constant Crashing On My New PC and Wife's New PC

Built two new computers one for myself and one for my wife, but it is crashing constantly after ten or so minutes as we talk to each other in Discord.

Running it in 4k, max settings

    3070
    i7 11700
    16 gigs of ram
    Installed on an SSD
    All drivers current
    All files verified
Launching from Steam for myself and from Windows for her, same issue regardless.
Let me know if I can provide more info.

Weird that you both would be having the same problem on two different machines (did you build them both with the same iso image?), but it sounds like DX11 is crashing. Run dxdiag and do a version check to make sure its the most recent version. Otherwise maybe try rolling back your GPU drivers.

This is a good counterpoint to check dxdiag, I don't know why I forgot about that feature, but I'll be consulting that in a moment.

To answer your question, no, I did not use the same iso image.

Now then, I have made SOME progress, and that progress is namely that I managed to get mine to run from the looks of it, I've been running for about an hour to an hour and a half with no noticeable issues.

Hers, the one that launches via windows and not Steam... is having a slightly different issue, the whole thing just powers down randomly-so now I need to figure out why it is doing this, sadly there's no eventlog for this one, but based on other settings I'm seeing no crash.

Ran DXdiag, nothing pupped up. Her issue of windows gave her some grief so made sure to reverify the activation and now THAT error is gone, but once I get everything where I feel a little better FFXIV crashes again on her PC only at this time-so we're back to FFXIV not working, and I'm trying to solve freaking why.

That's hard to really say. It looks like its an issue with DX11, but c0000005 is a access violation memory error if I recall correctly which is a rabbit hole with running a debug tool to find exactly what memory address its trying to write to. Your best bet is to get with square's email support and give them your system information logs from the launcher.

Been talking to dozens of people, one person suggested an obvious thing I held off on doing, and to be honest I should be kicking myself for not caving sooner.

Did a full reinstall, noticing hopefully less crashes, but no guarantees yet, approaching hour two here and nothing major, next test would be us both running dailies together, if something goes awry then I'll have to take that info and see if they can help.

Still crashing, I've done a reinstall, different drives, EVERYTHING I can think of, this is so obnoxious!!! What is the disconnect here?
I'll reach out to sE, but does anyone have any other ideas? Please.

Not sure what else to suggest honestly.

You could try specific settings in the game like changing to borderless if you're playing full screen or setting the game to launch in compatibility mode (especially if you're using windows 11.)

Overall though, your errors seem to suggest something with dx11 is writing to a memory address that its not allowed to write to causing an access violation.

Trying something dumb now, but what have I to lose-complete uninstall and reinstall of my OS (And no, not WIN11, I just CANNOT do that to myself-maybe I'm too old to use it or something, but it irritates me.) and doing a full reinstall onto a new M2 drive.

So, booted up, got a cool new issue-everything went all black and pixelated, then it crashed after running for five or so minutes... Nothing in the error logs whatsoever... this potentially a VRAM issue?
