    Party UI customization

Having trouble finding this in game and internet searches are just complaints from back in 2013. Which I assume would have been fixed by now. If not...yeah.

How do I set up the part window to just show debuffs and not buffs? Want to easily see when I need to be casting Esuna on a party member. And if it just shows cleansable buffs that would be better, but understand if that is not an option.

If this is still not possible and there are other methods, please speak in obvious code so I know where to get the solution.

The cleansable debuffs are prioritized to the left and have a bright white/blue bar over them.

There is not a setting that shows only cleansable debuffs because there are noncleansable debuffs that you need to be able to see on people to know who's going to get hit by unavoidable mechanics.

Aren’t there also buffs you need to look out for when it comes to certain mechanics as well? Of have they just been relegated to debuffs…

Regardless, yes, Rongway is right. There’s no way to just separate the buffs and debuffs in your party member list, but cleansable debuffs have a bright white line over them to let you know you can cleanse them.

It’s important to keep your party buffs visible anyways, because you may overwrite someone elses buff for example, or if you’re casting a shield it may overwrite someone elses shield.

I wish they'd give more options or rework the party UI.
Quite frankly, it's cluttered and poorly designed. You can work with it and get used to it, sure, but it does it job rather poorly.
The emphasis on each element is completely fixed, you can't increase or decrease emphasis on HP bar, level, job icon etc., cast bar hides the name of the player, MP is always on and visible on all jobs, you have no way to adjust anything, no black/ white list for buffs and debuffs, buff bar limited to 10 icons which is quickly reached, no way to increase spacing between elements without making it mega sized in general. One SGE alone can make your buff bar explode after an aoe and elements easily blend into each other if you have poor eyesight.
I've seen some really neat rework ideas that still keep the current style but offer more customization.

You can increase it to 10 in the UI settings.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."
