How does it feel to know Square Enix doesnt give a care about you or the Mac community? More than a month since this issue started and not a peep out of them. What a joke!I recently installed the latest version of Macos, Monterey 12.3, on my Mac Pro and now Final Fantasy crashes when started. Following text extracted from crash log:
"Termination Reason: Namespace DYLD, Code 1 Library missing
Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python
Referenced from: /Applications/FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE.app/Contents/MacOS/FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE
Reason: tried: '/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python' (no such file), '/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python' (no such file)
(terminated at launch; ignore backtrace)"
Apparently Python has been removed from this Macos release.
People should avoid installing this Macos release until a fix is available.
This is so bad, I just purchased my Mac licence and now its useless...
yes you can. https://www.xivmac.com/
That's not a real solution that's a third party workaround.yes you can. https://www.xivmac.com/
We don't even know if SE allow that program to be used.
Yea. I don't want to get banned by SE...
Also, the third-party program has viruses or sth so I am not gonna use it definitely.
I have tried these kinds of programs for other software and games before. Those viruses may not really be extremely harmful to ur Mac, but I am sure they will somehow slow down ur Mac...
The ignorance of Mac users is absurd lol. There is no virus on XIV on Mac. Go do some research before spewing nonsense.Yea. I don't want to get banned by SE...
