I can see exactly where the OP is coming from. FFXIV is going to need an amazing 2.0 relaunch to make it as a MMO. Everyone knows that. So it is only natural for people who have put time into this game to start to get nervous now.
In my eyes this is the calm before the storm. When we hit E3 I think we should start to get information coming in waves. Considering if 2.0 is going to be ready for end of this year start of next year it should be done at this stage and debugging started.
Fingers crossed that the dev team have hit the nail on the head and 2.0 is everything we are all hoping and then some! If thats the case the best thing for FFXIV was the unbelievable failure at launch
As for now we play the waiting game![]()
True, it is off-topic, but the only FF games I've liked and enjoyed have been VIII, X, X-2, XI, and XIII-2. Didn't like VII, XII, nor XIII, and especially hated IX - trying to play through some of the originals, but meh.
If XIV 2.0 fails to meet my expectations, that just means that I'll move on to something else.
Hope for success, but the odds are not in their favor.
So far so good, if few pdf's with promising information, an in-game concept pic and stellar development progress are anything to go by.
