Some people have other things to do too. I play less than 2 hours per day, usually none at all because I just don't have that amount of time in-game. Maybe once to twice a week I might get time to play for a couple of hours, other times I can go for weeks without logging in.

This sounds really depressing. I recommend finding something else to do in your life too or at least play some different games too.

I've Played since beta and have all battle classes to 50 and i play 6 hours a day and the only thing that i do is craft ( but dont make money cuz i cant get a spot in the uldah wards despite the mercantile houses) and do about 10 AV and CC runs a night which if we are lucky we get 3 DL pieces a week. I still play because of the time i have invested in the game already and i want to see it get better. but if these people are coming back that means they left because they didnt like the game when they played it, and i dont see much in the game here that would change my mind enough to get me to stay
First of all, and maybe someone already pointed this out, since i stopped at 2nd page, is you can't get 3000 per kill for long because rested bonus only lasts so long. If you weren't playing for 3 days you may get 2 levels worth of bonus but that is it.

Second of all, 6 hrs a day? Damn, no wonder you are bored and feel the need to bitch about everything.

The grind has never really been tedious in this game as long as you went the most efficient route. Leve failing anyone?

If it was any other server, I wouldn't make a comment. But I'm on Durandal, and I'm regularly shouting and making sure people get their AF done. Even beyond me, there are always people shouting for AF runs, and they still get done.

If you want help, ask for it. Making butthurt rage posts isn't going to accomplish anything you're trying to achieve.

Totally agree, this is ffxiv community, make an effort to help guys coming back on there AF etc. show them what the new updates have to offer I came back after 1.20. My friend Laevetine took time to explain to me quests I should do, it really helped me to enjoy the game and that is why i'm still here. Now our LS had couple guys come back and looking to do their AF, and for one guy I was shouting in uldah for an AF party for him because he pretty much gave up. And if i'm just crafting and I see some shouting for AF I still jump in to help.

This campaign isn't just the responsibility of SE. If you enjoy this game and want this game to be successful we as a community have to do our part.

Just to put a bit of perspective on this. I came back a couple weeks ago, and have played on and off over the past months, starting with Beta and Launch. I don't have a 50 yet. Why? Getting there ASAP isn't my goal. Taking my time and enjoying myself along the way is. I've always thought the idea of racing to level cap so you can get through all the end-game content (the "real game" according to some) and then stand around bored while you wait for more content to be added is just plain counter-intuitive.

It's even more-so in 2.0 where we're going to have a hugely altered gameplay experience, from 1 on up to cap, come 2.0. Why people felt it was important to have all 50s before then, hence trivializing a huge chunk of the in the lower levels right out of the gate, is beyond me, but it's also not for me to decide.

Suffice to say, not everyone has a 50, because not everyone was intent on getting a 50.

Nope, because it makes perfect sense since it happens in other MMOs. When new end-game content come out, they'll be all set and prepared for it and can blow through it then 'have nothing to do', but when they release a lot of low/mid level content they can't take part in or 'get no challenge out of it', it becomes a 'problem.'

People easily forgot while they're rebuilding XIV, 1.x is essentially just the building blocks for newer players or those who took their time to enjoy it at their own pace, rather than pling everything to 50 and complaining about trivial content clearly not designed for them o.O

if there is something worth playing pre 50 in 2.0 the vast majority of us will have the ability to create 7 alts (for free) to play it. We haven't missed out on anything by getting all 50s quickly. If anything, it's those that haven't done that that will miss out on content.

The people coming back for the campaign would have at least not have experienced AF + its quests, Garuda + her quests, Hamlet, a few CG ranks, UI adjustments, Crafting adjustments...

That's a lot to cram into 10 days my dear.
