On this note, I also think they should merge customization options between clans.
There's probably some exception where it makes more sense that it's clan specific, but why for example does Female Wildwood Elezen have access to an extra eye makeup in face features that Duskwight don't?
Doesn't help either that the makeup is barely visible on Duskwight too.

Their tattoos are also the same, if there's going to be differences then tattoos would be what would make more cultural sense imo.
And Duskwight can go without the ear piercings while Wildwood can't.
There's just a lot of dumb and arbitrary differences like these that are kinda annoying.

Edit: This also goes between faces, why are the scars tied to which face you pick for example?

If you compare it, you can see that they all have the same number of options, indicating that it's a matter of how the data is stored.

Everyone gets five on/off options in the Extra Features menu, whether they're scars or makeup or jewellery. They can't be shared because the total number is what's important. Duskwights miss out on eye makeup because apparently the devs wanted to give them one option for ear clasps (since they don't get it as a full setting), so something else had to be booted off the list. Keeper Miqo'te are in a similar position where they share four of the options with Seekers but the fifth is replaced with a clan-specific forehead gem.

Likewise, the reason that only Wildwoods get earrings and Duskwights get tattoos is because all races get one setting that involves two on/off settings and a linked colour palette. Compare also Au Ra who have the "limbal rings" option but no tattoos. Elezen are just unusual in assigning different options to different clans instead of giving the same option to both clans.
