Why do people want Alphinaud gone? Have they not played past Heavensward or am I missing something?

Why do people want Alphinaud gone? Have they not played past Heavensward or am I missing something?
For the Horde! I mean.... For Ul'dah!
What a terrible grudge to hold over a youthful character having to endure what many adults would fall apart trying to handle and enduring with the support of his friends and family to grow into an adult resulting in real change to the benefit of many.
If we do get to see him become a man once his and his sisters final Elezen growth stage kicks in i do hope they continue to write him as the great and honourable person he has become.
He is going to be a kick ass caster/healer as a fully developed Elezen , story wise he has been tough as nails despite his tiny frame.
It's the same with Lyse, she's a fundamentally different character now than she was before and has grown a lot, but whenever I see people talk about her it's like they just didn't pay any attention at all whenever she was on screen.
I get that there were problems with the story and her role in it but that's typically not what people point to.
It's the same with Minfillia too, people got annoyed by the filler quests in ARR and they took it out on Minfillia because she was the quest giver for quite obvious reasons ( as basically the leader of the Scions, duh ).
Or they hold her not being combatant against her as if every character needs to be a fighter or how the writers relied more on telling than showing.
Altho again most of the time I see people complain about her it's completely shallow and superficial complaints and they don't apply nearly the same level of criticism and expectations on other characters.
I think maybe it's also because of how long it was between patches, most Streamers I've seen play the story have had meh opinions on Lyse in the main SB MSQ but then they've actually paid attention and changed their view on her completely post the SB MSQ.
Whenever I see people on the forums talk about it tho it's like they paid absolutely zero attention or have forgotten everything.
It's kinda sad tho because characters being flawed is what makes their growth more interesting.
Alphy wouldn't have been nearly as interesting imo if he didn't start out like he did in ARR, I think his story has been a really good representation of genuine growth and a character becoming more mature but that also entails him being rather childish and arrogant from the start.
