Katanas are two handed weapons, imo at least I'd prefer it to stay that way dual wielding with a Katana always looks and feels silly to me.
But I wouldn't mind it for Hissatsu: Senei for example instead of using the scabard.
Extra skills! Plus the scabbard thing you were talking about with Hissatsu: Senei.

A traditional fully armored "Samurai" tank that uses multiple weapons with the naginata and bow/crossbow bearing their main and side arms would be so cool!!!!

    The item in question:
Thank you sir/ma'am! I actually made this thread as a half joke, half serious thing, because Samurai I thought would look a bit cooler if it had a little wakazashi side arm it used on occasion. I'll more than likely pick up this outfit for glamour purposes anyway because I actually like this outfit. :3

Though I made this thread half jokingly, I thought it would be a good idea still if Samuari had an used a wakizashi for close range attacks that would be a bit difficult to perform with the katana or when needing a secondary when performing a dual wielding attack, like what Kolsykol pointed out with Hissastsu: Senei.

If only the devs named Saumrai Ronin so we then could get a traditional Samurai class as either a tank or light armor DPS, like Dragoon and Reaper. :')

Nah, they need a prosthetic arm with blade hidden inside. Perhaps a prosthetic leg with a cannon hidden in kneecap too.

That cover art is a perfect example of why 2D > 3D on covers lol.
Jokes aside I know there's plenty of bad 2D ones too.
But I really do miss when paintings were used as cover art, FFXIV has so many incredible ones and they're so much more appealing to me than a 3D render of the ingame character looking angry while starring into the camera with a gun.
A painting is just so much more compelling to me and it also ages way better.
