    Either Registration Key Error, Or No License Error (Steam)

    When I start the game anywhere (including inside Steam) I get send to the blue welcome screen and have to enter my info. After I did all of it I get the message that I need to "enter my registration key" which gives me the message that the key has already been used (of course).

    What I noticed is that eversince Steam got linked the ID field is greyed out and bears my Steam ID rather than my Square ID

    When I start the game as admin I can actually type in the ID myself. When I enter my Square ID and password I get told that I have "no licenses to play the game" which is just plain wrong. When I log into Mog Station it clearly states that I have them.

    I tried:
    • Fresh install
    • Change values under documents which did enable me to get the usual white launcher with the adds, however the error messages stay the same
    • I contacted support, unfortunately to no avail as of now
    • Change my password when asked to do so after the "suspicious activity" error
    • validate the integrity of game files
    • tried to delete the etc folder - Enter Timmy´s dad: If I had one!
    • asked on Steam forum
    • asked on FFXIV Subreddit
    • turned my PC on and off
    • checked that my Steam profile name only has plain letters - it does
    • cry
    • asked for help on the official Twitter in japanese

    I am stumped as to what I could still do at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated
