Login Not Working

Last May I downloaded the free trial of FFXIV from Steam and a few months later I got the full version. When I tried to download the full game from Steam, what I assume was the launcher wouldn't download, but I could still open the full game from the free trial launcher, so I just kept opening the game that way. That changed today. A few minutes ago I tried to open the game like usual after some sort of update and instead of opening to the normal login screen it opened up to the account setup, making it impossible for me to log in. I tried putting my Square Enix account into the option for someone who has one without a FFXIV account to see what would happen, and my account got flagged for suspicious activity and I had to change the password. Now I'm at a loss as to what to do. I think uninstalling the game and reinstalling it from the full version might work, but I'm afraid that will get rid of all the screenshots I've saved and I don't want to spend hours redownloading the game anyway. Does anyone know a way for me to install the full game launcher without having to completely reinstall the entire game?
Edit: I uninstalled the free trial launcher and installed the full game launcher, but the problem still remains.
Edit 2: Okay, it looks like I have to reinstall the entire game after all.
