    Please allow people to unlink the wrong account on Steam!

    It's a crisis for me right now! The one time password completely threw me off, and I thought I had to enter it. Before I thought I make up a one time password, so when it didn't work, I thought maybe the mogstation account wasn't an official square enix account, but that was just me overthinking it. So I made a fresh square enix account, and linked it to that, and now I completely messed it up because it after what my friends told me, I was suppose to link it to my account I use for mogstation, and just IGNORE the one-time password. But now it's completely linked to this brand new square enix account, and now I can't unlink it, so it won't let me change the Square Enix ID, because it has it pre-typed another Square Enix ID.

    Please help me, Square Enix. I already sent a support email about this and yet they have yet to get back to me.

    Same issue, I can't change the Square enix username through launcher and linked thorugh dummy trial account which doesn't have any expansion keys

    To anyone else who has this issue, contact support for a solution. I got ONE chance to fix this. Let them know the situation and they will walk you through it.

    I'm in a similar situation, having accidentally linked an old, empty JPN account of mine with a very similar account name. I used it once to try Lord of Vermillion, long ago. Now I'm locked out of a 14000 hour account. I'm quite distraught.
    Just waiting on Square Enix Japan's ff14 support to pull through and help me out. I just wish I could unlink it myself so I wouldn't have to bother them.

    We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the issue you are describing is something we are not able to assist with in the Technical Support Forum. This issue would be best resolved via the SQUARE ENIX Support Center which you stated you have created a support ticket with them. We advise waiting for a response and you should be able to be properly assisted with this matter. As such, this thread will be moved over to 'Separate Support Required'.
