ERROR code 90002 followed by 5003

I have been having issues in game for about 4+ months now not really entirely sure but it's all one big blur so it's probably been more than 4 months with this issue. I have no idea on how to figure this out there are times i can barely get to my retainers (when i am near a bell) or there are times I can play for about 6 hrs it's very rare but it happens. I also never had this issue when I first started playing FFXIV. It only started shortly after 1 year of playing.

Error code 90k followed by 5003

Platform is on steam with a wireless connection I usually just have Youtube up for music reasons but other than that nothing. the error happens at random but around 7PM it usually does not happen very often anytime before hand it's rare that I can even be online for maybe 5-15 minutes. Techniques I use are only having the Game launched and nothing else up and it doesn't work all that well but it gives me enough time to make sure I can maintain my house or retainers along with a few floors in PotD. That's about all though. Thank you for getting to my thread when you were able to.

Good morning MESRizix, thank you for the updated reply.

I understand you mentioned the issue has gotten slightly better on your end. If this is not the case, could you try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Then, disable everything under this tab and restart the PC. Additionally, please be sure to have the Operating System and Internet Explorer most up to date as well. Lastly, have you attempted to power-cycle the router? (Unplugging the router/modem for 5-10 minutes and letting it idle)

Yes actually I have power cycled the router multiple times before as well during my issues with this problem. as of last night though the issue persists to keep happening and much like before when i couldn't do much more than go to my retainers or check on my FC house. Tried logging in multiple time because sometimes I would be able to play for a few hours even though I had been disconnecting. Although I tried to keep logging in i just kept disconnecting. This was around 7PM so usually around the time I would be able to play for a decent amount of time. If this is to happen again today I will try the task manager start up today and see what happens. Thank you for the assistance. Sorry if it takes me some time to respond to your messages works got me bound up lately. Thank you again for getting back to the issue at your earliest convenience.

The Task manager and closing things out seems to have a strong positive effect on the issue I will repost if things still seem to be wonky again. Again thank you for your assistance and help Thukoolo. Happy Thanksgiving hope you're not working too hard now.

So I recently got back from a 3 day vacation and cane back to find out that now instead of being kicked out of the game. I am now bl experiencing my PC shutting down completely to a full restart when I try to play FFXIV. I also have give to the lengths of upgrading my windows (which I just found out is only 8.1 and started downloading windows 10) and it is unable to completely download it. If you have any suggestions please for away. Thank you again for getting back to me so your earliest convenience.

I apologize for this ongoing issue MESRizix and appreciate your kind words.

The error you are describing may occur when DirectX crashes. Have you attempted to launch Final Fantasy XIV with DirectX 9 support? You may want to try switching to DirectX 9 by selecting the ‘Config’ button on the launcher. Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display'. Lastly, is this only happening to one character in-game?
