I think it's fair to have a few wards using the FCFS, with the majority using the lottery system. Means the people who want to, can try their hand at a housing rush. Meanwhile, the rest can just enter the lottery on one of the many lottery plots.
Either way, the forums will still end up getting flooded with complaints. The only difference being that most of them will be about RNG, rather than others being faster.

Any still using the FCFS system in my opinion is too much. The system punishes people who have commitments outside of this game or who live in north america and can't get up at 3am to try to be the first to get to a plot.
As others have said too, there is a problem with FCFS allowing players to attempt to rush a house and if they don't get it, also enter lotteries afterwards.

All Lottery is the way to go, it's the most fair system that allows everyone to have an equal shot instead of unfairly punishing certain types of players or certain regions. There's no benefit to FCFS over it.

Which is why the majority of the plots would still be using the lottery system. Having a few wards be FCFS keeps both groups happy.

Kind of irrelevant, as the lotteries will get flooded with entries anyway. Especially on servers that are currently listed as congested.

As for the third party launcher/login issues, there's always the option of enabling plot purchases 1 hour after servers go live. Although this still makes it a game of who can click things faster.

Allowing people to rush a potential FCFS ward and then pick through the lottery if they don't make it only benefits the people who once again, are around for the server restart and have a 3rd party client. They would effectively get twice the chance as everyone else as they would be there for the mad dash to get to the FCFS plots, then if they can't get one, are able to fall back onto te general lottery and get the same odds as everyone else. At that point, just make everything a lottery so people have equal chances instead of rewarding a small number of people who try to game the system.

I also support full lottery.

It's clear from the forum responses that the majority is supporting full lottery and if SE is listening to feedback as you say, full lottery will be the way to go.

Besides, there are no new wards opening in other district at all in 6.1.

Also, unless there is a system to block players who opt for FCFS from entering the lottery, there should not be FCFS wards at all since this would imply such players would have multiple chances at securing a house, compared to lottery players who only have one chance.

The problem is that some people do NOT have a choice with regards to FCFS. They can't participate in it at ALL due to real life issues, computer connections, whatever. If FCFS excludes some people from being able to participate, then it is NOT a fair system and should not be used for ANY ward.

I get seeing people not liking fcfs being a thing but there's something I really need to just put out there for clarification sake.

The moment a new patch comes out, like it or not it will get swamped cause it's a patch full of new content and such and alot of people like to be there right when it's out, even if a new ward becomes available, as in experience to shadowbringers updates and seeing them add some wards. So what confuses me is that people are very defiant on not wanting fcfs even though there's going to be a lottery system added in to most wards.

Why bother demanding no fcfs when you can just, get on later anyways to attempt the lottery system? If you make the excuse that it's going to effect login, you do know login will be effected REGARDLESS of housing or not when a new patch drops, especially as major as 6.1 is going to be? Just wanna throw that out, if people are going to make this excuse I just wanna quash it and make a good point to stop people from making said excuses.

No, I do not believe FCFS should ever be a thing. The lottery is far better, and way less stressful. Anyone looking forward to the "rush" just likes pain and agony.
