If we got a big patch with decent content every 4 months, nobody would complain.
Look at WoW, 6 month patch cycle for big patches, but in the last 6 months players got 2 new maps, new delves, quests, mounts, minions, class changes + the events like Valentine's Day where you could get tons of great items for weeks, WoW birthday with many more items and even more events. Overall, players had a lot to do.
Not like Final Fantasy... here's your patch after 4+ months and now after all that waiting, enjoy 1 new dungeon, 1 trial or 3-4 bosses of a raid, 3-5 new MSQ quests, at least one of which starts with "Talk to Wuk Lamat". Add to that a few minions, 1-2 mounts, and with a lot of luck some glamour that you get in the game and not in the item shop.
And we won't even get started on the boring 5 minute events. Of course I forgot about the new tribe or Cosmos Exploration, which could just as easily have been called Moon Exploration. When I thought of Cosmos I was thinking more of Ultima Thule and not the moon with the Loporrits. It makes little sense to split so little content into 3-4 months to stretch it out. The content left the room after just a few hours, ladies and gentlemen. And that has to change.
