How is anyone fine with the 4-month patch delivery schedule?

I'm sincerely asking this: for those who want to grind and gain progression with repeatable content, if you've done all the weapon grinds, etc, can't you start an alt and do it again? Numbers would go up, checklists would be completed. If the grind is the point for you, wouldn't that work? Assuming you want to play and not just take a break and grind in another game, of course.

I will reply to this sincerely, as someone who has alts, and alts that arguably don't even look like alts anymore.

For people who are so embedded and relish in these sorts of grinds and systems, that completionism mentality can very quickly seep into your alts, and then before you know it, you have developed an inane and unhealthy habit. This was one such habit I had in SB, and it took ages to deviate from. At this point, you're better off just engaging in some of the more inane grinds, e.g., 'The Accursed' title. Or just outright taking a break to reflect if the game direction that you want is still there. Especially if you've already exhausted the content or grinds you want to do.

What this is doing is not necessarily giving those people more content, it is just a recipe for having people spend time on it for time's sake, rather than being done based on any logical reasoning or actual desire.
