How is anyone fine with the 4-month patch delivery schedule?

Wait... Hildebrand and beast tribes are out? o.o Holy macaroni, I did not know.

I am fairly new to the game so I am:
- leveling my crafters
- made my first crafter relic - its shineeeeey :3
- helped to get mounts and on the hunt to get mounts from things I could not yet farm before
- I havent even done ultimate yet, I cleared the current savage first tier a couple of times but I am waiting a bit to start any ultimate
- doing some beast tribes I did not do before
- doing my job quests cause i didnt do them before - wow shiney new skills ^.^/
- doing my crafter job quests retrospectievly cause i was leveling in the firmament hahahah
- probably should keep leveling my fishing one day too
- just unlocked 3 out of the many crafter/land delivery stories ( I did not know they also give a mount and other benefits)
- just recently entered Eureka for the first time, planning to go back eventually... but there is just so much to do.
- farmed the gold saucer for all the new shiney things you can get
- was in the housing mania for a full day, then it killed my hopes

I only have a few hours to play each day cause I am working and I already feel I play a bit too much. But there is so much to do. Not to mention I want to enjoy the social aspect of the game and stop sometimes to talk to people.

I personally dunno what I will do when I will reach 90 with everything. But my plan is to go back and do ALL side quests existing
I also plan to reclear all old content on MINE. Some I already did.
Plan to also do the blue mage thingy. I do not want to power level it. I wanna do the suffering and pain :3

I also sometimes don't feel like playing the game and then just play something else for a bit.

So, yeah, personally I don't care. But I can imagine old timers might feel otherwise. I would suggest to take a break if you have no friends to play with. Cause to me the social aspect can take up so much time just by itself. But when I played WoW i stopped it for the same reason. My friends stopped playing and it was no fun alone anymore.

Even with this game, I have some old timer friends who only come up once in a while when there is a patch. Then we play a bit and then I don't see them for a while and it is their choice to do so :3

I don't think I've ever seen the forums with so much complaining as lately. If there isn't enough content for you, unsub and come back when there is. Problem solved.

Yes, simply unsub that is the solution to all your problems. The devs definitely should not improve the game or add any additional content when you can just unsub. Why even make patches, you can just unsub until we finish the next expansion. Don't like the job changes, just unsub and we might fix it at some point, but probably not the way you want cause we are listening to the RPers that are subbed. Want instanced housing, just unsub, you didn't win a house unsub. MSQ is too long, no it's a masterpiece and it's Final Fantasy just go unsub.

Loving the hyperbole here. Because of course devs shouldn't have taken their time to adjust things from new player perspective. The MSQ roulette should have just stayed the alt-tabbing paradise for vets to get their precious level ups and resources because god forbid to make it more enjoyable and involving for new players. No need to work on standardizing Markers for older content - better yet they should have removed it and allow players to start from newest expansion and only give out enjoyable and meaningful content there because otherwise veterans will grow bored and new players should just rush to the end game because that's where the only source of fun is to be found.

You do realize for every person complaining and voicing their opinions on the the forums there are many in game happily playing, right?
Additionally, not everyone complaining on here even wants the same changes.

You can just do what I did. I stopped my sub for a month (back when money was tight), went into the house on the last day before the sub ended, waited 40 days, then resubbed and re-entered the house to turn off auto-demolition.

That's a start, but the question is why someone should have to do that in the first place, especially when it was promised, originally, that this sort of thing would not be an issue?
But that's just one of the many issues with housing (especially these days) that really should be addressed and spoken of by a dev directly. It's only a part of the larger issue to be discussed, which is that most of XIV's content doesn't necessarily have the necessary staying power even if it is well-liked.

Because the original intent was for housing to be for FC's only since FC leadership can be passed around. It was never intended for personal use, but that can of worms got opened and they had to add in a stipulation to remove homes from inactive players in order to make plots available.
