I'm pretty sure most MMO's with content that lasts longer ONLY have said content last longer because low drop rates cuz "horizontal progression". They could do that in XIV, but it would be terrible...That is a disingenuous comparison. Elden Ring isn't asking for a monthly sub alongside its retail price. There isn't ever an expectation of more content unless DLC is made, which is also a one time cost.
Even Lost Ark is a F2P MMO, thus the expectation of content is different.
I have every single Ultimate weapon and am currently progging DRU. So...
My point, is for those who either can't do Ultimate or don't want to invest the sheer amount of hours necessary for something of that difficult scale, 6.1 has very little to offer over a four month span. Ultimate isn't something you just do because it's new content.
This argument really needs to stop. It's complete nonsense in the context we're debating. With the exception of Ultimate for reasons stated above, the bulk of 6.1's content could be completed within a single week at a slow pace. Nobody has to "consume content at a stupid space." There isn't enough to consume. What are we supposed to do? Pick one side story quest chain a week just to artificially stretch out the patch? 6.1 is nearly three weeks old now and I've done everything it has to offer except spam Endsinger a billion times for her mount. I have cleared her several plenty. No such luck on the mount though. In 6.15, we're getting a handful of one and down story chains. So what exactly am I rushing here?
