Getting content quickly means nothing if it's over within the same week of release. Case in point, 6.1. If you aren't progging Ultimate. What longevity does this patch have? We have a 24 man with a weekly lockout you'll maybe spam for glamour, a single EX fight and several story/side quests which are all primarily one and done. Tataru's grand adventure could be the best questline made. It's still a finite piece of content that won't last more than an hour or two. Even at a gradual pace, you'll have 2-3 weeks of content and then... nothing else for the remaining three months.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
That's the case for any game though.Getting content quickly means nothing if it's over within the same week of release. Case in point, 6.1. If you aren't progging Ultimate. I have the platinum in Elden ring. 96 hours. No new content.
Lost Ark, which just released, has people on its forums complaining about lack of communication in terms of patch releases, content droughts, etc.
You could start progging ultimate, then?Getting content quickly means nothing if it's over within the same week of release. Case in point, 6.1. If you aren't progging Ultimate. I'll be farming extremes and hopefully work on p4s again.
I love Skiros threads.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
Yeah, it's because you're new.As someone who started playing FFXIV half a year ago, the abundance of content to me is dizzying, to say the least. Perhaps I'm just lucky to be late on the train, as there's never enough time to do everything I'd like to and I'll only be able to barely scratch the surface of all the things to unlock, do and achieve before 7.0 comes around.
Those have us that have been playing for years or longer haven't had much to do for a long time now, and new patches don't offer much. I can't remember the last time I didn't complete all the new content in a patch in under a day (not counting savage, which is limited to when my group can get together).
