When a Korean MMORPG has fast-pace content release, it is to make players to play/pay the game more frequently so that their current gear will not become irrelevant, so that they can experience contents as intended difficulty design before they get nerfed into the ground.

Blade and Soul has 5 years of content ahead, and NCWest release these contents pretty fast to catch up with the global release which is always 3 months behind of Korean version. Raids are difficult (and sometimes buggy) on release, then keep getting nerfed until you can just casually take down bosses for weekly rewards. If you never experience these raids on-release, then you will never do again. FOMO plays full effects here.
