Hot take: when Zenos body snatched the WoL he left a piece of himself in there.
7.0 essentially being the WoL having a mental breakdown fighting for control of their own body. Need to flee the continent for fear of hurting their friends.

Ahhh, someone described it as a dream dimension or something along those lines. Which could still relate a bit. Alternate dimension - alternate perception. Kind of a similar "what if" vibe.Little off topic, just filling in gaps:
Dynamis in FFXI wasn’t a sort of energy, but rather an alternate dimension where “the bad guys won”. Essentially they are just raids set in fallen/“nightmare” versions of the main cities.
Aside from the void/monstrous aspect, it’s probably fair to say the two concepts are entirely alien from one another.
I definitely think they have some places they can go with the concept that would be quite interesting.
I'm honestly expecting for our character to just find Zenos drinking tea in cafe somewhere. Wol: "how the hell did you get back!?" Zenos:"I have no idea but my current theory is some powerful entity sent me back just to mess with you or something"
becoming my enemy would be unwise
Zenos will be just like the hornbill in Shadowbringers. He'll just kinda be there, watching from the background, with no purpose or explanation.
Yoshi P made it clear that he is dead. In fact Hydaelin is dead-dead. Like super dead. So dead that she doesn't even exist anymore other than the world she created. Her soul was used in her trial against you. She's not coming back and neither is Zenos. If Zenos comes back he will be a baby with no memories or special abilities from his old self, he'll be reborn anew like anyone else. The story of Zenos is over and now we are transitioning to a whole new story because that was their plan -- to end this story because they were tired of trying to fix 1.0/ARR.Is he dead again? Because after the ending of Endwalker, I personally don't think his dead. Just body? Sure! But the guy doesn't need his body to still be alive. Ge's practically an Ascian with his Resonant. So, unless he completely burnt all his aether, including the bit that sustains his life force in are final fight, I'm doubting he's dead and I have a feeling he'll return in an expansion or two through dynamism since he was left in that weird plane of it.
Thoughts?

With Hydaelyn, Emet, Zodiark, and Hythlodaeus he was very clear.
With Zenos he didn't give a straight answer. He does that when he's trying not to spoil something.
IMO, the current writers chose for him to be over and done with. (as mentioned by another, that this time he decided to burn through everything he lad.)
but future writers might still revive him, since they may run out of ideas, and want to revisit this. Im not saying it WILL happen, just that its not unreasonable to assume this might happen.

I think he was very clear in his statement.
He said "Zenos stopped breathing, you can see his dead body, right?".
He never said he is dead though![]()
To me it is a very clear way of saying "he is not dead".
While not explicitly stated, it is pretty obvious the hornbill is Emet’s familiar, made even clearer when it appears immediately to spy on you after leaving Emet’s sight in Elpis.

I mean, this will undoubtedly be a thing eventually. Probably the 13th/void world just because it saves huge amounts of time in development to just reuse existing zones as pseudo-raids/dungeons.Ahhh, someone described it as a dream dimension or something along those lines.
