New relic zone not announced yet

Wonder if they are even going to implement it this expansion!

There will be people on copium thinking that "and many more content" includes the new relic zone. Now I want you to ask yourself when is the last time Square Enix included content at the scale of relic zones in a phrase like "and many more content".

What you see in the Live Letter is what you get. Don't hope for more because it's not coming!

While this is yet another Skiros thread, I will say that as someone who normally does relics every expansion I am a little concerned that we haven't heard anything about it yet. I may be misremembering but I thought Eureka and Bozja were announced pretty close the expansion launch as new zones with relic weapons being a part of them. Relic weapons would be a pretty significant thing to just leave out of an expansion though.

There is no guarantee that the new relics will have their own zone. Honestly, not having a separate zone for it would be better as it would breath some (very miniscule) life into the overworld.

Also, pretty sure the "weapon enhancements" that were mentioned in the 6.2 section of the live letter were referring to the "relics"

In all likelihood, the new Criterion dungeon will play a role in our relic given it releases on the same patch cycle as "weapon enhancements". Which... won't go over well if that theory pans out. A lot of people think Criterion dungeons will be our M+ equivalent. I somehow don't see that being the case.

I feel that it will just be "if one person is in here, it's regular strength, 2 is +75%, 3 is +120%, 4 is +150%". Or something like that, which a fair amount of other online co-op games scale it where things are much stronger the more people in the game.

This makes a lot of sense. since it sounds like the higher difficulties are optional.
I don't think higher difficulties will be mandatory, but it could be set up in a way that you get more of _____ by completing them on higher difficulties.

where ____ is more light, more items for upgrade, or a higher chance that light/item will proc/drop... pick your poison!
