So does anyone do this anymore? I've seen no shouts and the cave has been dead for god knows how long and in the LS's most already seem to have the weapons or aren't interested.Very sad, this is probably the best fight in the game and it just seems like it has gone to waste.

True strike. Most fun fight in the game imo. We go there regularly and tonight was the first time I've ever seen another party there so I guess it must be getting slightly more popular on Gungnir at least. Got weapons for my two favourite jobs tonight, love it when the shitty drop system pays off once in a blue moon!

I would love to do it again if not for:
a. Meld gear requirements.
b. A clear strategy, at least tank making garuda stay in 1 position most of the times so that the rest can have less time worrying to move into safer position. Especially important since latency issue still a big deal here. ;D

Plus, I really need to win this fight since I have more than 1 stack of Vortex Totem.
