Hardcore players make up like 1% in mmos - the more casual friendly the more money for the game, the better the game gets.

Didn't WoW lose a lot of it's players because of all the time gating, time sinks and borrowed power that have infinite power creep grinds that you lose each expansion?
There is plenty of content for average players. Mythic+, heroic raids and arenas are all for "average" players.
Yes, they implemented a lot of easy world content for those that prefer that. They also didn't tune things properly like their war fronts and island expeditions. They were pretty unfailable. But there is plenty of content for average players.
It was the endless grind that didn't go anywhere that got most people upset.
And that's something that ffxiv doesn't do.
Adorable creatures with unacceptable features!
I'm not 13 anymore.
I can't play a game for 12 hours, have just 6 hours of school and sleep the last 6 hours. And that daily for week's/months.
And if I want something time consuming, i need to prepare for it in advance and I do it only for a short period of time.
For stuff like savage raiding or grindy content like Bozja and eureka
Maybe if you stopped acting like an insufferable toxic ass, you would have friends and wouldn’t need to make the forums your endgame. Just a thought.

WOW has diminished so badly because:
1) they DIDNT cater enough to casuals
2) Ion is a lawyer not a game developer and it shows!
3) developers inflated egos versus good game decisions
4) they have been charged with a disgusting amount of law suits for sexual misconduct discrimination etc
many many reasons why wow is a state of decline , it never has been and never will be related to casual vs hardcore.
open your eyes please![]()
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
This is true. The high water marks of WoW were all accessible for most of the player base and were also very alt friendly. Wrath, Mists and Legion had a healthy top end game along with raids that were puggable. We aren’t talking about just lfr crap either. Normal and heroic could be progressed by a raider who pugged. That was huge for their success. The mythic + treadmill along with alt unfriendly power grinds in BFA and Shadowlands killed it for a lot of players. The constant focus on only endgame and throwing away the story every expansion didn’t help either. Mythic + just ended up making the player base exceedingly toxic too. They wanted to turn WoW into an esport and just made it a toxic cesspool.WOW has diminished so badly because:

Aside from this being a complete troll post, wow died cause the old guard left and the new one didnt listen to players nor cared about the game outside of its monetary value.
Microsoft won't change this.
And Ion is there.

Casuals for any MMO is the main target audience... the harcore/savage/ultimate is niche....
If you think that casual content is what kills a game, then you are wrong, extremely wrong.
