(Oh, you made a thread to whine about what other people want but you don't and gave it a title opposite of an existing thread. You must be so witty, clever and original.)

A common misconception. You see, we're investors that also have the opportunity to play the hyper extended beta before the real game is released. Like Minecraft was.
And yes, he should be discreet in choosing what would be good for the game overall. I remember one certain member about a year or so that wanted Yoshi to add in every feature every MMO had going on at the time, without any regard to the overall structure of the game. Sometimes even suggesting conflicting features.
Why yes, he should have to. A devs job is to create a game pleasing to the players, if he or the other devs are doing something wrong, then he should listen and fix the problem. The reason for the forums is to spark debate, just like the topics flying up everywhere, then they have a crew to read and relay to the devs in order to make the experience better for us all. Just because one group of people are saying something you disagree with, doesn't mean he shouldn't listen to them, it means you get your butt on the forums and argue why it shouldn't happen. They most posts in to account, and they is what evolves this and other MMOs.
Yes he is a great director, but to not accept feedback would be irresponsible of him. Which is why he is going to continue to accept feedback. The fact of the matter is, we play more than they play. Meaning we no what is awesome, and what needs to be fixed.
And to the above response about us being "investors," we kind of are. Because we are investing are time and money into a game in waiting for it to be awesome at 2.0.
Even when people get what they want they still complain though..so it's hard to please people that cannot realistically be pleased. It's like trying to please a cat in heat.
(and I hope to god people know that reference >.>)
Under no definition of the word are we investors, we are consumers.A common misconception. You see, we're investors that also have the opportunity to play the hyper extended beta before the real game is released. Like Minecraft was.

Investors, invest a specific amount of money into a project or company with the understanding that they will see a return on that intial investment, in the form of clear monetary returns. They invest primarily in the company though, hoping to reap the profits as a whole, very rarely does an investor put money into a single project, especially when we're talking about large multinational companies like Square-Enix.
As CONSUMERS of a fee based product we want a return on our payments in the form of a desirable product that we will enjoy and continue to consume...
Yeah, no matter how you cut it, investor is not the correct term for what we are
All depends on the Feedback, The only feedback that should really be taken into consideration is Bugs and technical Difficulties, and some Feedback that deals with the game. Overall, he really should be doing his on thing, making the game through his eyes, not the gamers eyes..Why yes, he should have to. A devs job is to create a game pleasing to the players, if he or the other devs are doing something wrong, then he should listen and fix the problem. Aiming to please the crowd? Kinda hard when alot of people have their own ways of thinking what is good and what is bad, but I feel as a player of any game in general, that I want to play the Companies game, not Player's opinions. Everyone's opinion differs from another, some way or another. The best thing any developer should do, is make the game the way they want it.
That said, I really hope 2.0 is the imagination of Yoshi-P and not the players. If Yoshi-P choose to take Feedback Game related to the game, then that's his decision and his alone, if that makes a game good then I'm all for it.
