Likewise if they listen to NA for their wants, they lose out on what the other playerbase wanted because chances are if one side is for making a character start maxed out and pushed to EG asap (Exampled NA want) and the JP/EU side didn't want that, guess who they'll lose out on?
That's the purpose of striking a balance..or just making the game how the company wants.
Who the hell wants that?!
I'm asking for them to listen and work around it so they can avoid damaging the game for a core base, because those are the guys that are going to play this thing for more than a year or two.

Except those tryign to bring in elements of their other favorite games. Most FF and FFXI loyalists to this game want pretty much the same things. Yet have to leave that space for the develoeprs to put new vision into for some freshness.
NA (US and Canada) does make up for a large amount of the player base, but a larger picky user base. Europe combined has a moderate base, Japan has a large following but with population versus those playing the game it is actually a small percent, right now due to theri focus beign shifted. China and Korea has a base, but believe it or not, a large portion of their base is in Real Money game trading (minus Hong Kong and soem main business areas). Oceanic being the smallest but if you notice trend and increasing number in MMO's.
THe main focus shoudl be balance and unique content. Even tho there is a large NA base, we don't want WOW like play, or a typical MMO style, we want SE FF style and story.

Its good to have inspiration from successful titles like FFXI and WoW. Copy and pasting WoW on everything isn't the best thing, but some of their features are much welcomed such as the Content Finder and it's custom interface features. Go too far like other MMO's (SW and RIFT) and people will inevitably go "Meh it is the same thing.", and head back to the game they are familiar with.
Now on the FFXI side, yes this game should derive a lot from it. Take something that was successful, make a new game that takes it's successes and make it better. That seems to be what 2.0 is anyways. Using concepts from FFXI would simply help bring familiarity to the Dev's and something they know how to work with, and more fans would be pleased than disappointed.
Also to point out. The whiners of FFXIV are extremely minimal, so no matter how good something is, the whiners will always be here. Give them a bird that craps gold, they will ask why it can't do platinum. Constructive criticism goes a long ways and whining doesn't get you too far. Yes we all like to vent out our frustration with the game, but developers can't get ideas from people just saying they don't like the system. They want you to say that you don't like it, the reason you don't like it, and what can be done to make it better. If not, your ranting is kind of useless to them.

So a subscriber is asking that yoshi not listen to subscribers...so we can ignore this guy then?
Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.
