But sliders are impossible without effectively re-doing the entire gear system of the game itself, which in turn would require an engine overhaul. Which at that point, they'd just more likely to spend that time making the next FF MMO.
Characters in FF14 are effectively legos - there is no 'body' beneath your gear that your items warp around, the gear is your body. Like replacing a leg arm with a different lego arm, equipping a new piece of gear completely replaces that entire section of your character. This also means any visible skin on gear is built into the 3D model itself.
This means that butt sliders (and currently breast sliders) are useless, as they would only effect your smallclothes/emperor's gear and nothing else. Since every other piece of gear in the game overrides your slider choice with the model itself. This is why armor makes you effectively flat at 100%, and why Minfillia's gear gives you a great chest even at 0% on the slider: it's the actual model overriding it. You can even see this for the butt side of things with the 2B pants: They are intentionally sculpted to have a bigger butt, thus it only appears when you equip them.
For a butt slider to actually 'work' in FF14, they'd effectively have to create multiple copies of the same leg gear at different sculpts for each of the different races, then assign each once you hit a certain % on the slider. Which when you consider how long it takes them to do any retroactive gear update in FF14 (headpieces for Hroth/Viera, unlocking gender lock stuff, etc) is effectively impossible. This also ignores the other issue of having to make several new sculpts of body gear as well, since bigger butts would invariably clip through skirts/tops that are assuming the butt is at default size.
TL DR: Butt sliders are impossible with how their 3D model engine is set up. You'll have to turn to the dark forces of 3rd party if you want something like that.
Hyur need serious help. I hate playing catgirls, but they have the best customisations.
Hyur need animation fixes (especially for that weird run), better face options because they have choices that range between ugly and mutant right now. They also need better height adjustments, only a little though on that one, I just feel they could be a little shorter and still be "realistic", maybe as short as the cats. Yes short people exist, I'm under 5' myself.
I don't care about butt slider, personally I don't like fat asses, but I know some are into that kink so if they added then cool for those people.
I think it would be great if they'd add more hairstyles to the default customization options as well as some more face options/variations. I think that's one of the things that bugs me most is that it doesn't really seem like characters in this game are very unique from each other. Facial sliders to adjust eye/nose/mouth etc shape would go a long way too but I don't know if their engine is capable of implementing something like that... so I would just opt for more varied face part shapes like what they have already, just expanded. Instead of like 4 different noses, maybe have 8?
For a game of FF14's age I was a bit surprised that even after all these years, character creation is still pretty limited.

It's a meme. A joke. Lighten up dude.
Besides females have for decades and continue to be the butt of a lot more than this one meme.
Very poor taste joke. Again, if it was the other way around people would be grabbing pitchforks. There’s no need for shutting down discussions like that.
I'm off the butt slider bandwagon, have been for a while now, realizing such a thing could never work. They should just model the pants with Garuda-esque rumps. Which they also won't do.
At this point, I think more options for the customization categories that are available and maybe more flexibility with the existing sliders are about the most we can hope for.
The more flexible customization gets, the more strain it puts on both the servers and systems as it's that much more data that needs to be loaded, and I'd honestly take less if it means character models can continue to be loaded in smoothly and quickly as some customization heavy games like PSO2 are subject to rather jarring pop-in even on higher-end systems, needing to render generic placeholder models until the data for each player has finished registering.

No, it really wasn't a meme or joke...you're just trying to save face after defending a comically sexist and misandrist remark.
Also, I notice how you tried to turn it around to and go into "women victims, men bad" when called out.
