No Update for Character Creator / Cuztomization?..

I personally want a 5th face to everything, but I agree that it's probably best to really push for more fundamental additions to the character creator after 7.0 drops and we both have Hrothgals (the final race) and the higher system requirements. If more powerful machines are required to play the game at the most basic level, the devs could possibly future proof for inevitable updates like.

But I think the reason muscle sliders exist for some and not for all is due to how each race has a specific "special" slider. Miqo'te, Au Ra and Hrothgar get a tail slider, Viera get an ear slider, (I have no idea what Lalafell get, is it ear slider as well?), and hyur 'n roe get muscle sliders. An overhaul to the customization system would be needed, presumably at the same time we get features for other decoupled features (Au Ra faces/horns, markings and all that).

I'm under the impression this would require a whole engine rework, which seems to be held together with duct tape and gum and they basically have to find workarounds to add things. Also a big undertaking, but it'd be nice, as it's really, really, showing its age -- even compared to some other mmos at the time.

Imo I just wish the gear would stop screwing around with body proportions.
If I picked a particular option then it should be consistent otherwise what's the point?

Wanting more character customisation is not unreasonable though. That's a terrible comparison.

At this point flat butts is like a FF staple lol.
Basically everyone in the FF series has no butt I dunno why.

I'll be honest, I was pretty disappointed when Yoshi-P didn't address anything cosmetic related for FFXIV. BE ADVISED, I am not undermining the Graphics Update. This is huge and we have needed it for a long time and I'm so happy they're doing this.

A few people did warn that the fan base has been asking for character creator updates and NPC hairstyles, longer hairstyles, etc for a long time. I don't really understand why they're avoiding this when so many people have been asking and for years? Will they talk about it in a later live letter maybe?

As mentioned in past posts, updating their dye system wouldn't hurt either but I've also heard that might not be possible with their engine or whatever they use to run the mmorpg. But, I've been playing the heck out of Lost Ark lately and THEIR DYE SYSTEM IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I live for being able to dye almost every part of an outfit. That's one thing I loved about Guild Wars 2.

I would love to see:

• Horns separated from Aura faces. (This has been widely asked for many times)
• Hair styles separated from Hrothgar faces. (This is new but a fair request)
• Longer hairstyles. (The megathread has many wonderful ideas and requests)
• More NPC Hairstyles. (Also been asked by a lot of people for years, included in the megathread)
• More beard options!
• Change eyebrow color separate from hair color
• Adding more Hair/Skin/Dye colors. (They have already added some dye colors so I'm hoping they will add more in the future)
• Dye outfits in sections completely
• Butt sliders would be a great plus

I love this game, and I love how much work the devs and the team put into creating this game.. but the fact he talked about the next 10 years and didn't even graze anything about improving the customization of the game was a little disappointing. I understand these posts are very repetitive but our pleas are not being answered T_T

I just want a butt slider and black/white scales for my Au Ra ;-; yoshi pls

Feel like they start looking into customizations after female Hrothgar is done and dropped. Folks got to keep in mind the smaller teams tend to do one thing at a time, too many things and it'll just mean far longer waits.
