When Endwalker released we had up to 5 hour queues for login. Are you really worried that the player base isn't growing enough because a few very loud people keep complaining about this niche end game feature? It may feel like punishment at first but think about the long term benefits, especially as our player base grows. Something needs to be sacrificed so that there can be room for growth and there can something better in it's place. I am not just complaining but providing feasible alternatives that I've thought about in great length so that all of us can have a fair shot at enjoying all the features of our game.
I want instanced housing with my own plot seemingly frozen in time- an autumn sunset with a pumpkin patch but NOOOOoooOOooo I'm stuck between two ugly shirogane houses in the goblet whos yards look like a child with 1 braincell decorated them
Honestly, To get what everyone wants, we'd have to just have an entirely new game at this point
The only thing that is unlikely doable now is making the island sanctuary an instanced house/ island like wildstar
Something more within reach:
Making apartments with 2 tenants instead of 1, increase apartment item limit to 300 because 100 is too small.
Increase the interior item limit, both placement & storage by 100 for each housing size
OMG I miss Wild Star housing sooooo bad!I want instanced housing with my own plot seemingly frozen in time- an autumn sunset with a pumpkin patch but NOOOOoooOOooo I'm stuck between two ugly shirogane houses in the goblet whos yards look like a child with 1 braincell decorated them

"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."
Yoshi-P did the housing the way he did deliberately because he saw it in another game and loved the concept of limited player housing. Unfortunately not all of us like it and we've voiced many times we don't like it and giving fine examples of various games that don't use limited player housing that have fallen on deaf ears. It seems that making player housing not limited is not up for discussion as he's dead set into having it this way - that and because of the way the engine was written would probably have a major impact on gameplay and housing if it was to be rewritten from the ground up (as in everyone losing their current houses and having to start from scratch and the game lagging out from drawing millions of new instances.) Yes I know that FFXI already has instanced housing and hasn't had any problems with it, but that's because it was written in that way from the beginning and the game wasn't as popular outside of Japan as FFXIV is.

Gaius van Baelsar: Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?
