    Game Won't Launch, No Error Messages

    Hello,

    I'd really appreciate some help with this because I have no idea what caused this. Last night I logged off the game and everything had been working more or less fine (all other issues are already reported and unrelated, such as audio stuttering). Now I booted up my laptop and tried to launch the game but every time I click Play, it opens up the window then I get a short black screen, then it closes itself.

    I tried doing a clean reinstall of my graphics drivers, reinstalling DX11, rebooting my laptop (several times, after each reinstall, and one more time for good measure) and nothing helps. Running the game in DX9 does work, but I'd really rather avoid that. I've also tried switching VSync and GSync on or off but it doesn't help either. I'd really appreciate some help with this!     We would like to further assist with this matter. Please provide the following information:

    1) Does your laptop have onboard graphics along with a dedicated graphics card? If so, this may be causing a confliction with the display output when the game tries to run. Please try disabling the "Onboard VGA/graphics" via Windows under "Device Manager" and select the "Display Adapter" option. From there, locate if there is an onboard graphics option and disable it. You can also do this via your motherboard's BIOS.

    2) Do you have any anti-virus/firewall software installed? If so, which ones?

    3) Have you tried running Windows update and installing all recommended and optional updates? Note that multiple reboots and attempts may be required.

    Hello! Thank you so much for your detailed response! I ended up doing a clean install of an older graphics driver and it works perfectly now, so it might be that the latest NVIDIA driver isn't compatible with the game for some reason? It's worth noting that this only affected FullScreen mode, but after the rollback I can run on fullscreen just fine at my usual FPS. Also in case there's any other thing I need to do:

    1. My laptop doesn't have anything like that, no

    2. I have McAfee LiveSafe on but it doesn't seem to be conflicting with the game as far as I can tell.

    3. Doing the updates is what seemed to cause the issue in the first place, since I do them quite regularly. Rolling back from an update did help fix the issue, though!

    Hopefully this'll help anyone else dealing with this as well.
