Is the Xbox version still a thing?

I've heard two rumors in my time:

1.- SE wants XIV to not use XBL Gold and MS doesn't wans that.
2.- There's a weird clause in XBL that says you can't be in a clan with people on another platform. AKA you can't be in an FC with a PS/Steam person.. or something.

More than asking Yoshi I'd ask Phil about it.

The last time YoshiP talked about Xbox was that he did talk to Phil Spencer but they were not on the same page. Likely because of those things above. He is adamant that XBL Gold should not be required, and rightfully so.
