I am happy with my heal jobs, no need for more dps spells. I would play a dps job if i would like to have more dps spells.

Also I think people shy away more so of healing not because its boring but because again, its the nature of having that responsibility in an MMO. Same thing with tanking. Not everyone in this game is a total Gigachad whom are absolute masters at their class and can run through content without having wipes. I speak from experience that it isnt uncommon on my dungeon or trial runs for wipes of mistakes to occur due to healers not prioritizing healing, tanks not using their cool-downs properly, group not doing mechs etc. Stuff like this still happens. I would totally add on Yoshi-P's comment there if healers want more engaging content to also run "Aurum Vale". Still to this day that dungeon is still a challenge to get through.
I dont want to completely dismiss the idea of tweaking some toolkits for more damage buttons. I think if they replace some spells to be a "damage and HEAL" button rather than adding extra damage spells would keep the job rhythm nicely and more engaging perhaps?
As the game moves more and more towards being solo-player-welcoming, one can fairly easily see that giving all players in all classes enough tools to make the MSQ dungeons trust-playable is likely going to become a prime design goal. Any and all tanks can likely think of Cecily's heals (in squadron) and how you basically need to use your own tank healing to stay up.
There is money in these players who love FF but hate the thought of FFXI and FFXIV because... people.
One can imagine that with the focus, any call for more challenging healer play will lead to comments about optional content like Savages as the patch progresses as the way to find that challenge.
But for more engaging gameplay, that's the part Yoshi hasn't addressed, he only addressed challenging.
They are two separate concepts, even if they do have a little overlap.

I fell asleep healing the current dungeons and no one died.
If you want more engaging content as a healer then queue things solo and get matched with random ppl. There's lots of DPS out there that stand in mechanics they shouldn't be, and tanks that think they can mass pull with gear they should have replaced long ago while not using any of their cooldowns... >.>
I do, regularly. Guess what? I still spend 80-90% of my time spamming one button. Hell, in E12N last expansion, I literally did not press a single heal, period. Assize covered everything even with randoms getting clipped. That's how little damage actually happens. Two healers are comically and hilariously overpowered in 90% of the content. That aforementioned 513 Dosis II I did? Random Alliance Roulette. A friend and I had a Tower run where we had a combined 20+ Raises because so many people were eating stuff. We still spammed Glare and Malefic more than any other button by several times. If you want more engaging content as a healer then queue things solo and get matched with random ppl. There is no scenario where you aren't spamming Glare/Broil/Malefic/Dosis 100+ times. Which is incredibly boring.
In what way is this complimentary? Since you list Bard in your profile. Would you find it "complimentary" if your entire job was spamming Burst Shot and reapplying Iron Jaws every 30 seconds? Maybe you get the occasional Refulgent in the same way Healers have to actually heal a raid wide but otherwise you get nothing else. No Songs, no procs, no buffs. Nothing. You spam Burst Shot and that's your "gameplay." If DPS were designed this way, people would be screaming with pitch forks raised. Hell, look at the divisive reaction towards Summoner. And it still has more engaging gameplay than Healers despite the whole rotation being able to be macro'd into a single button.

Healers are already required to focus on dps'ing due to enrage during prog while healing is kept to a minimum.Speak for ya'll selves, I still get nervous having to heal in content, just because of the nature of healing alone. I think the issue they see if healers get more damage spells for rotations then healers in this game would start to focus more on DPS'ing rather than healing which just....negates the purpose of having a healer in the holy trinity the system was made for. I think we've grown too complacent with the idea that "healers are a dps" job when its in their job description to heal not to deal damage.
This is an extremely BASED opinion on my part though because I'm a controller user andy and having to add more buttons for full on damage rotations alongside your meaty healer toolkit will just overload the cross-bar hotbar setup into a complicated mess.
The holy trinity is already in shambles due to them giving tanks healing sustain (except for DKs, oof), and dps' self-healing options.
Give healing a try in the current end game content, and you'll see you really have nothing to be nervous about. You'll find yourself with nothing to do, but to dps. Then get annoyed that you only have one button to dps with.
And I have on both Pandaemonimum and other content synced and its still bonkers and engaging for me. Im just not the "best" healer around in this game. I WISH I could be confident enough in the role to complain about how "stupidly easy and braindead it is" to dps, but like I said, my opinion is extremely based. But I also feel the OP and others's opinions on the issue is also very much based too. I dont think healing is boring at all, as long as everyone is still alive I'm happy.Healers are already required to focus on dps'ing due to enrage during prog while healing is kept to a minimum.

I already gave up any hope on Squeenix part to make any decent adjustments for any improvement on Jobs and Gameplay related aspects of the Game.
I guess having improved Graphics and only releasing one new Thing after another is more important than keeping the whole Game in check. They even went so far, that they plan on REMOVING fights and replace them with solo instances (like Kap Westwind) instead of making proper adjustments. I am not going to wait for another Year just to have a chance to adress things which ends up being ignored anyway.
Its a shame that i have to give up my Medium House for this, but im going to give up on FFXIV until they make a proper rework on the Design of Jobs as a whole. This isnt worth 12,99€/Month for me anymore, so Goodbye. "Lets wait and see" has been fun.
Sounds like your nervousness stems from the possibility of someone getting mad if they died, and so spend way too much time gcd over-healing in the process. And I have on both Pandaemonimum and other content synced and its still bonkers and engaging for me. Increasing healer's dps rotation won't stop you from keeping players alive. It'll only serve to give healers who are more comfortable with the job something to do.
