*Something something bitter retort about how Sage's gameplay feel issues have been completely neglected all of Endwalker--things that were addressed when crafting the PVP Sage design**This is a total shot in the dark but I suspect it's something along these lines: The devs DO play the game, despite how much we meme that they don't. A lot of these issues (MCH's dismantle, Miasma II, ED) are things the devs would notice internally. It's possible that they notice these issues during development, and develop ripcords they can pull if feedback indicates they need to do something. Plus, these are abilities that are already in the games code and make large, obvious changes to how the jobs feel and their ability to clear content. The more numerical and in depth changes (6.3 PLD, 5.4 MNK, Misery etc.) require a lot of people pointing things out, expressing distaste for, or the devs internal data showing that adjustments are needed so they take longer to do. Game feel wise, there's no difference between misery before it was damage neutral and now so it's harder to notice stuff like that.

I don’t think streamers can move the needle that far, I remember in about……..abyssos I want to say Mr happy, mizzteq and lazzie put up a united collective front to press yoshi about what the hell they were doing with healer design and they basically all got collectively ignoredYou need a certain streamer to scream and yell to get SE to take notice.
Abyssos balance was pretty bad tbh, and a big PR problem after SE built a reputation of being balanced in a previous expansion. It took them way too long to realize that PLD doesn't fit the current combat design.
Everyone is kind of ignored in the NA circle for the most part. At least I feel that way about most things since it seems they are very JP centric on feedback.I don’t think streamers can move the needle that far, I remember in about……..abyssos I want to say Mr happy, mizzteq and lazzie put up a united collective front to press yoshi about what the hell they were doing with healer design and they basically all got collectively ignored
After playing the healers again I'm not quite as bothered as some others are by them? The main problem people are alluding to is that healers are not fun for hard end-game content and therefore the people who play in that content have a constant healer shortage?

Personally I think the biggest issue isn't so much the hardest content itself, but rather once you've experienced high end content, stepping back and doing more mainstream stuff is beyond mind numbingly boring.
I managed to deal with E8S because at least the other people made it somewhat fun. Aglaia broke my enjoyment of healing because there was just nothing outside of pummelling my glare key into dust. No healing pressure, no banter, no optimisation, just endless glares broken up by some Lilies and the occasional dot refresh or ogcd.

He basically did. It put it slightly more gently, but either way. It was rude, dismissive, tone deaf, and hilariously out of touch.
This isn't really the case at all, WHM wasn't almost not played at all in SB, it's just slightly behind AST.
Your picture is showing the top 50 speedkills, not many groups would take a WHM to a speedkill. This is what the total logs for all healers were for O12S P2.

'If you're still unsatisfied and thinking healing is too easy and I want to feel like a real healer, then definitely try the ultimate content and suffer'.
Next question?
Oh and WHM in SB was... strange...
At least from my perspective, WHM/AST was the go to for early Deltascape prog, SCH was in a *horrible* place initially whilst WHM could pretty much delete Neo Exdeath's AoEs with Thin Air.
It fell off pretty rapidly over the course of the expansion, although not as harshly as it did towards the end of HW IMO.

Sorry they will just dismiss that as the translator incorrectly translating yoshi

Yoshi-P's Translator: " I think even at that point if you're still unsatisfied thinking okay healing is too easy and I want to feel more like a proper healer uh definitely try the ultimate content and... suffer "It bothers me. I just feel if you're gonna actually quote someone, just should do it verbatim or just not do it at all, because you run the risk of putting words into people's mouths, and losing nuance. Made up quotes are just a bad way to debate anything.
Just my two cents. I don't play Ultimate so I'm not gonna say anything about that, but this thread lasting so long with a made up quote just bothers me.
That to me boils down to " Just go play Ultimate "

Yep, it completely dismisses the misery of healing pretty much everything else in the game once you've actually experienced said ultimate content.
