What'll be even more fun than the encounters will be hitting the unsub button on the mogstation.lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao LMAO
they are seriously tripling down on the "the encounters are where you find fun, not the jobs" 100/0 philosophy
ahahahahaHAHAHA
I don't think any healer main needed proof that they do not care about your feedback at this point, but come on. The (melee) DPS and tanks whine about how "bosses are too big now ;_; I want to work for my uptime and positioning!!" and Yoshi goes "hmm you know they're right, fix it posthaste!" meanwhile healers have languished for half a decade and we get the "uhh well 100 is a big number so we're not doing big changes and just going to add things to jobs as we've been doing, please wait warmly for 8.0" LOL
This is so bleak I just have to laugh
But alas, I will continue to wait patiently until the media tour information drops. I sincerely hope I will like what I see for Sage, but we'll just have to see.
Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.
Honestly what’s the most annoying is since they said the jobs won’t be fundamentally changing just yet even if they do add something really interesting to the healers you still won’t see it in 99% of content you do
Like say SCH’s big 100 skill was returning Selene as a unique summon that replaces all the fairy buttons with unique Selene buttons that may or may not contribute to damage and utility- fantastic right
Well yeah right up till you get scaled to any level that’s not 100 and suddenly it’s back to same boring healer design we have right now; so at absolute best we may get a more interesting savage experience if they don’t give us another oGCD heal, at worst nothing at all changes
Ngl I straight up forget I have lilybell sometimes because I'm so used to it being disabled, and even then the times I actually need to cast it are scarse.Honestly what’s the most annoying is since they said the jobs won’t be fundamentally changing just yet even if they do add something really interesting to the healers you still won’t see it in 99% of content you do

I really hope it's not just more healing ogcds though, I'm already running out of space as it is. We could use some pruning instead.
Lilybell, panhaima and macrocosmos are also just solutions in search of a problem which contributes to them feeling like they aren’t needed in 99% of content even when you do have access to themNgl I straight up forget I have lilybell sometimes because I'm so used to it being disabled, and even then the times I actually need to cast it are scarse.

Lilybell’s only real uses are multi hit raidwides amd dot raidwides in instances when you either just burned lily’s or you need to burn them in the near future because otherwise rapture has a higher priority, panhaima is basically either a multi hit raidwide mitigator or a diet kerechole and macrocosmos outside of cheesing P3 is really only useful for something like euldimon eorzea to get its actual unique effect rather than just be “raidwide does 2000 potency so you get 1000 potency heal”
The level 90 bosses in both casual and high end content tried to make these buttons feel useful considering near every myths boss has a multi hit raidwide and savage is full of bleeds but the buttons still feel like I said; a solution in search of a problem
It is indeed quite frustrating how limited all the lvl 90 skills are even in the content where they are usable. Well, it looks like that we will have probably the job action trailer in late April with a live letter that month and then the media tour info in May.
Correction on the potency bit. They will show the potency stuff but they are all beta era stuff. For example, in the media tour, Marcocosmos only had the 50 percent of damage received being healed, it didn't have the 200 extra heal potency added to it. But indeed, they are trying to hold the cards of all job changes right up to their chests ever since 5.1.
The sad thing that is probably almost something that they would exactly do for skills and stuff they would likely do for a healer in the expansion.
Whenever I do roulettes now, I only do the class in need now. I dread it though whenever I have to do healer and this coming from a healer main.
Still not going to let this thread die here until Dawntrail. WE still got three months before it shows up and that is plenty of time to talk about the asinine that SE keeps making with healers. With the potential live letter coming in April, that should be enough more to talk about to keep this going.
Incoming another "SCH is fine the way it is now, we have no reason to make changes to it"
I'm honestly half expecting a stealth full rework of SCH to make it as braindead easy as SMN, because the healing side of the kit still requires minimal brainpower.
Mostly because Yoshi P said before EW launch that they don't know what else to add to SCH anymore.
