It bothers me. I just feel if you're gonna actually quote someone, just should do it verbatim or just not do it at all, because you run the risk of putting words into people's mouths, and losing nuance. Made up quotes are just a bad way to debate anything.

Just my two cents. I don't play Ultimate so I'm not gonna say anything about that, but this thread lasting so long with a made up quote just bothers me.

What's hilarious is that in the digest https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/456921 of the letter that was released a month after here was how they said the quote

Yeah I remember Mr happy, mizzteq and lazzie all got together to collectively ask about the current design of healers and they all got collectively blown off
