Honestly, once you get past that initial hurdle of ‘healer role is scary’ the role isn’t that bad, but damn it’s certainly boring unless the party loves oranges. And long term, if the devs want to keep player retention with the healer role they’re gonna have to make said role just funner to play.
Doing stuff like more forms of dps would be a good start, but less, Astrodyne, Misery and Phlegma, because they’re only ever available every minute or two, and more stuff like Miasma, Shadowflare, Aero 3, etc. Stuff like that to make it more then pressing Glare/Malefic/Dosis/Broil almost 30 times a minute and your Dot button twice a minute. Like around levels 30-60 should be when all these options are introduced, and build from there. At the worst just slap on a party wide healing effect on some of those buttons and you’re set.

Thanks for letting me know this, I had 0 clue that there was something like this in game. I sent my feedback along about Scholar specifically and now I'm going to be writing a more general healer related one, hopefully others do the same and they read these. Any way we can make our voice heard!

Although I suspect none of it really gets passed to anyone that would listen it is worth a try. And the more channels we use for giving the same feedback over and over the harder it will be to ignore it without creating a pretty bad imagine. I did it once ages ago but about time I get back into the habit of doing it. And I will make a habit of this. If they don't want to hear my feedback they'd need to suspend my account.

I agree with making a habit of it, too, specifically because this is an issue that has only gotten worse, and they keep misinterpreting our issues (potentially on purpose). For any other issue, I'd think once is enough, but I'm starting to think that habitual reminders across various platforms would be best. At the very least, if ever they should say we didn't tell them, we will be able to say we told them everywhere we could.

I think you should make a thread with your suggestion for us to do this on the Healer role forum too, I would myself but I don't want to seem as if I'm stealing your idea. And I also have like, 3 threads complaining about Scholar on there right now so I don't want to spam lol.
There are likely healer players who only look at the healer role forum, as that's pretty much all I looked at for a long time before venturing outside into the general discussion forum. The more eyes on this and the more healers doing it the better in the long run. I'm dedicated to keep trying to enact positive change for as long as I'm playing the game, and the more positive change I see, the longer I'll definitely play it.

I'll consider it. I'm not exactly a social figure here, so I don't think I'd attract all that much attention, but I suppose I may as well. I think I might know how I'd like to go about this.

I dont want to ruin this fun about the ingame suggestions, but according to the text it says, it states that its just "suggestions in regards to ingame support", which is just about GM activity pretty much.

Oh no, if this were just about it being "fun," then I'd probably write suggestions instead of playing healers in PVE content.

(Bad) Jokes aside, honestly speaking, if they end up just throwing them away, then fine. But giving me a suggestion box, even for a certain department, is still giving me a place to start cramming in thoughts for the development team, and they even include a cute little confirmation message that they'll forward the suggestion to the development team if necessary. Frankly, I'd be happy even if they forwarded the messages to the dev team to request a statement be made during a live letter to get us to stop, because then at least I'd know for sure that they looked at it.
In the end, even if they just end up throwing everything out, then we're still back to square one: no one truly acknowledging our feedback.
