    The WHM changes aren't as good as they seem since a lot of the changes don't even affect lvl 90 gameplay. Heck, they don't affect much gameplay 74+. Aero II is much more efficient than Dia now, for example, to the point where Dia is a pretty big downgrade. WHM mana recovery after a death is still going to be a pretty big issue as well. A lot of people are happy with the misery change and faster lily change, but if we're being honest here, the misery change should have been there since 6.0 and even then the fall off damage got nerfed even from before (disclaimer: I don't 100% know how the math works out but strictly potency wise 900 * 75% = 675 potency to mobs other than the first vs 1240 * 50% = 620 potency to mobs other than the first.)

    I’m glad that this thread has gotten so popular; I hope it never falls off the front page and works as a persistent reminder to the director that healers who want just a bit more attack variety during their inevitably common downtime aren’t comfortable with remaining silent.

    To be fair, it doesn't even need to be more attack variety. Just more interesting toolkits, some other stuff to do... and perhaps even more engaging dungeons and battle mechanics. A lot of that could come through if they'd just have more than one team test things and actually have a couple of people play through a healer 1-90 through all content then have a "Expert" "Mid-core" and "Newbie" team test the content and share their feedback to see what changes can be made to not scare the newbies, but keep the experts engaged and having fun. After all, fun is all want.

    Do not let Dia having the same potency as Aero II but costing 200 more mp distract you from the fact that Bungee Gum contains properties of both rubber and gum.

    After playing PvP for a few rounds I could finally feel alive as a healer again. Using SGE LB3 to change the tides to your favour, pneuma giving shields, it felt really nice.
    They scrapped the real healing role tho, but it's full of flavour and a step in the right direction.
    A balance between this PvP approach and PvE would be awesome (ofc, the skills on pvp wouldn't translate well to PvE as it is).

    Maybe it's because we're still undergeared but both the dungeon and the new alliance felt a bit more tuned up in damage (or maybe I just got bad parties overall hahaha).

    So my first impressions of the patch are:

    The job changes are faaaaar from the ideal. They keep ignoring the major issues. Not complaining about the QoL changes for WHM and kinda for SGE.
    The PvP is a step in the right direction. The spike in damage is also welcome, although I don't think it will last long term...

    I'm legitimately trying to find a justification to use Tetra anymore on WHM. I get Lilies so rapidly now that it feels almost pointless to use Tetra since Misery is just so potent in both Savage and Dungeons.

    I'm kind of at a loss with it really.

    God, I don't even care about DPS options being bland. I just want to heal, and I'd prefer to not feel like a useless afterthought while doing it. I am just on standby in case everyone messes up, but that doesn't happen often and now tanks can just kinda... take care of it. It feels bad. Feels worse being brushed off so dismissively.

    If they genuinely don't care about that though then yes I think some extra options during our times filling the part-time dps role would be nice.

    That would be nice, and ideally the ultimate goal.

    In a more short term perspective, I hope PvP is successful enough that they massively expand the content. It didn't feel like past content had much variety. But if I had more different PvP modes and maps to actually enjoy PvP play, I would probably do that over PvE content consistently.

    Going through these comments and everyone poo pooing healers seem to think it's about difficulty? That's really just something that exacerbates the already present problem: being a healer is boring. It only gets less boring when everything goes wrong, which hey. I don't think any of us want to be wishing for.

    I feel like this disparity was much more tolerable before WAR could just heal themselves AND everyone else just as well. It becomes pretty glaringly obvious what a skeleton of a kit you're left with when your most basic skill is redundant. I've been able to just go along with it for each expansion, but for real... I'm redundant if I play healer in anything top level.
