I'm not questioning your tastes (doesn't concern me). I'm questioning the technical aspect of those pictures.

I don't know if it's due to a screen problem or something else (you said your game was quite dark on your equipment), but the screenshots you're showing us can't pass on the technical side. The saturation is so high that it burns out the lighter colors. And after a closer look, there is hardly any extra sharpness: it's just that the contrasts are so exaggerated that they give the illusion of having elements that stand out more clearly from each other.

It's clearly much less natural than the more sober colors we have nowadays, because it's so far from our vision.
